What is Pre-Incarnation and Why Does it Matter?

I was on a Zoom call the other day and we got onto the topic of pre-incarnation— the idea that we existed in the heavens in eternity before our spirits incarnated into our bodies and formed a living soul.  What brought it up was somebody mentioning the idea that we choose the type of pain we will experience in our life—and how for some, this can be a difficult concept to reconcile with their belief in God.  Because why would God pre-choose suffering for me? That idea doesn’t seem to match with a good and loving Heavenly Father.  In this article, I will try to help reconcile some of the perspective about a pre-incarnation existence in heaven and choosing our incarnation, with the fact of God’s nature being good and loving and kind, etc.

As with most things, I think we need to begin by understanding Jesus is our model.  When I look at Jesus as our model, I see that Hebrews 12:1 says this of him: “for the joy set before him endured the suffering of the cross. Therefore let us run our race.”  It wasn’t that God desired suffering for us so He sent us to incarnate into the earth.  Rather, it’s that in order to incarnate into a fallen world that needs restoration, it was a fact that we would experience pain, suffering, and problems.  I believe that our Heavenly Father is a good God, and so I believe that He actually gave us a choice with *disclosure* of what we would face.  Our Father wasn’t simply condemning us to some sort of painful 3-D reality, bur rather He invited us into a partnership with Him to restore the cosmos. One that He knew would cost us each individually, but ultimately was going to cost us far less than it cost Jesus.

If I back up a bit and explain this concept of pre-incarnation which I have sometimes referred to as preexistence, there are a few different Bible verses that point to this being a possibility.  I say “possibility” because the Bible doesn’t explicitly state the level of depth of pre-incarnation experience that I’m talking about, but it does hint at the fact that there was some sort of “ before” that we each experienced in some sort of conscious manner.  To explain from the scriptures, I am pulling a quote from my book The Gamer’s Guide to the Kingdom of God.  This comes from the first chapter of the book.

 

“Numerous verses in the Bible point to this reality of predestination or pre-choice.  Jeremiah 1:4-5 says, “Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.’”  This says God had already chosen Jeremiah to be a prophet long before Jeremiah was born, but that’s not all it says.  This passage suggests Jeremiah and God had a discussion about it.  To know someone is an active and ongoing process, not simply a momentary absorption of knowledge.  According to Strong’s Concordance the word know in this passage is the Hebrew word ‘yada’, which is not just a factual head-knowledge, but a perception, discernment, and understanding of a person or thing by experience and acquaintance.  Simply put, God said he knew Jeremiah because he didn’t just know about him, but that God and he knew each other relationally before Jeremiah came to earth as a baby.  Thus, Jeremiah had pre-existed in Heaven.  Furthermore, the word ‘appointed’ in the above passage is the Hebrew word ‘nathan’ which means to appoint, consecrate, bestow upon or put onto.  The very nature of that definition suggests that God didn’t just have an idea in his head but actually held a ceremony of some kind in heaven to consecrate Jeremiah and bestowed that office upon him.

Psalm 139:16 says, “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”  Simply put, David recognizes here that God actually wrote a book about David before David was even born.  Both this passage and the passage from Jeremiah point to the reality of our pre-existence.  Here, David recognizes and has some memory or revelation of the fact that his destiny—the choices he pre-determined to make before coming to earth—were decided and recorded in heaven before he became a living being.”

 

Jeremiah mentioned God knowing him experientially before he was formed in his mother‘s womb . And I clarify above that it was experiential because the Hebrew word yada means to know something by experience.  It wasn’t simply that Jeremiah was a concept in God‘s mind before he incarnated, but that there was an experiential relational knowledge that God had of interacting with him in some way before he incarnated. Whether there are any other verses that discussed this or not, there are at least two places where the Bible communicates that there is something that happens *before* we incarnate more than simply not-existing or being a thought in God’s mind.

Something else to consider is that in the New Testament in 1 Peter 1:20-21 it says that Christ was foreknown apart from the foundations of the world, ie. outside of space time, but that he was manifest (incarnated) for us at that time.  It is the same Greek word (conjugated differently) as the one in Romans 8:29 that says for those of us He foreknew He predestined to be conformed into Christ’s image. I think no one would argue that Jesus was only a thought in the Father’s mind. And it is the same word used to describe us in “the before.”

A bit more anecdotally, I have a few friends who actually have preexistence memories.  I even once wrote a post on social media asking others to share any pre-incarnation memories or experiences, and in less than 24 hours I had ten different people who either had either had their own experience of pre-incarnation or knew of someone else who had one.  I personally find this to be an interesting phenomenon because most people when they incarnate either at the time of incarnation or sometime in very early childhood seem to forget whatever came *before*. Chinese mythology actually has a belief that explains this to a certain degree.  In Chinese lore, Granny Meng waits at a bridge by the six springs of reincarnation.  Before someone reincarnates they have to drink from her bowl of water or soup or whatever it is, and when they do they forget all memories of their past life. Now, I don’t believe reincarnation is God‘s plan for us, nor is it something I teach.  I do, however, find it quite fascinating that there is an existing cultural mythology to explain this phenomenon of forgetting an existence prior to our current life, as much mythology has at least a grain of truth to it.  This overall idea would explain why there is such a disconnect between who we have always been in eternity and what happens when we incarnate into a body and form a soul.

Now, before going further, I want to be clear about something—this is honestly optional cosmology. You can be a Christian and you absolutely don’t have to believe this. There are some things in Christianity and in life is a whole that we really have the freedom to pick and choose what we do or don’t believe because the ramifications of believing or disbelieving that thing are fairly small. I personally want to know more Truth, if for no other reason than because I believe everything in creation fits together the way it was designed, and I would rather understand the way God made it, free of veil and mystery and confusion. And for a variety of reasons, including the ones I have shared above, this feels right to my spirit, so until God clarifies something further, this is what I believe about this subject.

I want people to know that this is optional not because reading this article automatically forces you to believe what I am saying, but because I think sometimes we get into situations where we feel like we have to make a decision for our theology to move forward.  And I don’t want anyone feeling stuck over this.  Yes, more and more people are coming into revelation about this, and I personally believe that is simply because it is true.  But I also don’t think there’s any real harm that is done if for some reason someone chooses not to believe it.  On the converse, even if it isn’t accurate, provided we take the right perspective on it I also think it has little to no ability to cause harm.

And this may sound like a strange disclaimer to make, but I want to briefly explain something about beliefs, discernment, and harm before we dive back into preincarnation.  We all have things we believe that aren’t true.  The problem is that we *don’t know* they’re not true or we wouldn’t believe them.  Healthy people, anyway, want to believe truth and are willing to adjust their thinking once they learn new information.  So whenever I come across new beliefs that force me to look at making significant shifts in some area of my belief system, especially when it just feels “right/true” in my spirit, I do a bit of a risk analysis.  If I am completely wrong, what is the potential harm of accepting this belief as true over and above what I have been believing before?  If the risks are low and/or approaching zero and the benefits are good or at least no worse than the previous belief, you’re likely just fine to switch to the new belief system, especially if it feels like God is already confirming it in your spirit.

Back to the subject of pre-incarnation, I want to lay out why this matters that we understand this.  If it causes us to believe that God is afflicting us with something harmful then I could see how that would be a very toxic belief.  It would cause us to believe that God is not in fact, good, that He’s not actually very loving, and that He doesn’t actually care about us much at all, because no good Father would intentionally subject someone to the level of abuse and pain that He would knowingly be subjecting us to unless there was a deeper reason behind it.  But I believe there *is* a deeper reason for it, and a good one.  I believe that God spoke to each of us individually in advance and gave us each a choice because we each had a mission to play—a role in the redemption of all creation.  We have to remember that the Bible says Jesus is the firstborn of many brothers, but *we* are the brothers. Meaning, our eldest brother paved the way for the rest of us to come, and the rest of us are here to finish the job in restoring all creation back to full union with the Father. Honestly, it’s a noble mission, and one that I’m rarely sorry for agreeing to.  Is it hard sometimes? Absolutely.  But I believe that’s a significant part of why God gave us a choice in advance—because He knew that things would get tough and be painful and hard at times. But He also knew that there would be joy set before us that would help us to endure every trial and tribulation and problem that we would face.  And then, as I mentioned in a previous article, Jesus already conquered every enemy that we would face, so restoring creation is not an impossible task.  It’s an extremely doable one.

About two years I was in a time of prayer and encounter with the Lord and He showed me the globe of the Earth. And as He did, so, I began to see represented before me in the vision all of the problems and opportunities that humanity was facing at the time He was showing me.  What made it interesting is that while I was very clear that God was showing me both problems and opportunities, there were zero problems and only opportunities. And that seems strange at first until we understand that with the right perspective, *everything* is an opportunity. My friend Barry Maracle has a saying that I absolutely love, but which I am also going to butcher a bit.  The general gist of it is that opposition is not meant to delay or deny you, but to propel you into your destiny.  Every obstacle that we face is an opportunity to conform into the image of Christ Jesus. It’s an opportunity to trust the Father one more time.  But a little bit more this time than the last time. It’s an opportunity for God to reveal a new aspect of His nature as provider, protector, or some other aspect of His being that He wants to reveal to us.  Problems aren’t enjoyable, but with the right perspective, they are opportunities.  I believe likewise that this belief in pre-incarnation is an opportunity.  It’s an invitation, taking one or two deeper steps into fulfilling the plans and purposes of God in this generation.  And I believe understanding pre-incarnation helps clarify some of our purpose and position here on the Earth.

I want to share with you three more examples that point to the reality of pre-incarnation to leave you with more data-points to consider about all of this.  The first example is that of a friend of my ex-wife’s who we will call “Katy.”  She once had a dream where she was talking to an infant girl planning on coming to earth.  Katy told her it wasn’t the right time to do so, and shortly after this dream she had an early first-trimester miscarriage—early enough that she hadn’t even known she was pregnant until the miscarriage occurred.  Katy was not even aware she was pregnant, but her spirit knew and told the baby it was not time to incarnate yet.  Keep in mind that this is only possible if there is a not-yet-incarnated person in the spirit realms who she can talk to in order to tell her not to incarnate into a body.

A second example is that of Kat Kerr, a prophetess who travels and speaks to various churches about her revelation on heaven and who has taken multiple trips to heaven herself.  She speaks in a number of her messages, including at meetings I have personally attended, that we are all spirits that exist in heaven with God beforehand and how we choose to come down to earth, knowing our parents and families and the trials and difficulties we will face, which closely matches what I have been saying.

Third is the well-known minister Jesse DuPlantis who was taken into a heavenly visitation which he recounts in the video and audio recording titled Close Encounters of the God Kind.  In that message, he shares that he saw in heaven a great many spirits going up to the throne where God was seated and these spirits clamored excitedly, asking God to send them to be human spirits here on earth.  As Jesse watched, he saw God take a deep breath and as he exhaled those spirits were sent from heaven into bodies here on earth, much like in Genesis 2:7 where it says that God breathed spirit into Adam and he became a living soul.

Because eternity operates outside of the realm of time, it is not bound by our human understanding of time.  God and each human spirit have decided together when in history we will be born and to what set of parents.  Before conception, we are shown in heaven what our life will be like on earth, including the problems we will face physically, emotionally, and even spiritually.  As hard as this is for some to believe, we chose to be here in this time and place.  We did not create the physical circumstances, but we did pre-know and willingly choose to enter the body that would accompany those traits.  The good news about all of this is that if we agreed with the Father to come here, then it means we were sent on a mission and *also* were properly equipped for the task.  God doesn’t sabotage people.  If He asked us to incarnate here in this time and place, then He already had a plan to meet us at every turn.  He already foreknew the challenge we would face, and in many ways we were picked because we were *more* capable of dealing with those things than anyone else!  Think about it.  No matter what difficulty I face in life, it’s probably a good thing I’m the one dealing with it because anyone else would be less-prepared than I am to deal with that task.  Its my life and God asked me for a *reason*.

 

I hope this is enlightening and encouraging for you, but if nothing else, keep in mind that God the Father and Jesus have been clearly expressed to be one and the same in nature and purpose.  So regardless of what you choose to walk away with as a belief, know that the Father’s nature was revealed in Jesus, so whatever we believe, we have to remember that Jesus is perfect theology, and let our understanding of the Father reflect that.  Be well and be blessed!

Rewrite The Stars – A Different Governance

I was out late with a friend one evening before my move to Ohio.  We went to a sort of Portland-y food-fusion restaurant and had dinner and these margarita-like wine-slushy drinks that, for someone like me who doesn’t really enjoy wine, actually tasted pretty good.  We talked about a wide range of things, but during the conversation we ended up talking about the movie The Greatest Showman, and she mentioned that she really loved the song “A Million Dreams“.  Having not seen the movie, I wasn’t sure if I knew the song (but it turns out later in listening to it that I actually did recognize it, and the song is absolute fire).  As conversations go, this ended up sliding us sideways into talking about other songs from the movie, and I began telling her about how I really love the song “Rewrite the Stars“, and what the Lord began speaking to my heart the first time I heard it.  I wrote a bit about this in my recent article titled “A New Energy System“, discussing how we are meant not to be governed by the sun, moon, and stars (and other celestial bodies) but rather to govern over them, and in talking about the song with my friend, it made me think of some things I hadn’t shared in that article.  I want to take a look at them here.

Having not seen the movie I’m not overly familiar with the plot, but from the little I gather there appears to be a bit of a Romeo-and-Juliet-style star-crossed-lovers scenario, which leads to the scene where this song gets sung.  I’m not sharing the entire song here, but the lyrics that stood out to me and how this song communicates part of what I was saying in that blog.

“You claim it’s not in the cards
And fate is pulling you miles away
And out of reach from me
But you’re here in my heart
So who can stop me if I decide that you’re my destiny?

What if we rewrite the stars?

The song is all about how our destiny is guided and determined by the stars, which is a reference to astrology and astrological determinings, in that the positions of the stars and the messages found in those things are what will determine our path in life.  The first line is a reference to Tarot, with the idea that one’s fate and destiny is tied to what casting cards through divination magic will reveal to us about our future, and as it continues it mentions how fate is keeping the two apart.  Whether through astrology, tarot, or other magical systems, the concept is that fate is this mystical force of pre-determination that has already decided what will and will not occur in our lives.  We could liken it a bit to God preparing good works in advance for us to do, but the difference is that fate is an impartial force whereas our heavenly Father makes plans and then walks them out with us relationally, not stooping to the method of control and removal of free will that fate employs.  Which is part of why I like these lyrics so much.  Astrology, divination, and related oracular arts are all about tying us into determined futures and linking our power and authority and our bloodlines into the future that the fallen angels want to create, and the fact is they cannot do that without our assistance, which is why some of these practices are so imperative for them to seduce people into.

On the other hand, our Heavenly Father has given us power and authority over all of these things, and we get to partner with Him to walk out a much higher calling.  So as the song says, “what if we rewrite the stars?”  The one character seemed to understand that “no one can say what we get to be.”  The demonic and their divinatory practices do not get to overwrite, override, or control our path as followers of Jesus, nor should the celestial bodies, as we are meant to govern over them, not be ruled by them.

The song goes on to ask the question “How do we rewrite the stars?”  And isn’t that what we as believers need to understand?  How do we as followers of Jesus, ones who have been raised up to rule and reign with Him, remove ourselves from under the reign of creation and learn to govern over it?  How do we rewrite the stars?  How do we change the means by which we function in the cosmos, no longer being bound by their mandates and decrees?  I don’t have the answers to all of this, but I do believe that it begins within us.  In my book The Gospel of Life and Immortality I talk about the macrocosm of the universe and the microcosm of the body, and how we first engage the transfiguration of our bodies as the firstfruits, and then from there we will see all creation become transfigured as we, the sons and daughters of the Most High release it from its bondage to decay and death.  I encourage you to pick up a copy of the book, and if you are interested in this subject you can also check out my friend Fiorella Giordano’s course on the New Creation Continuum which discusses related matters.  Be blessed!

A New Energy System

A number of years ago I listened to a conference recording from an event at Seattle Revival Center in which one of the speakers essentially prayed for everyone to become disconnected from the energy matrix of our universe.  At first, this prayer was confusing as I didn’t understand its purpose.  However, as I pondered it further, things became clearer.  It seems strange to think that we would want to disconnect from the energy within the cosmos—that of the sun, moon, and stars, as their various energies all influence our lives on both obvious and subtle levels.  The goal behind this prayer?  To govern over the cosmos instead of being ruled by it.

The concept that the cosmos is governing over us isn’t that difficult to find even in the Bible.  If we look in Genesis 1:14-19 we see God creating what the Bible refers to as “lights”, which in this passage reference what we understand to be the sun, moon, and stars, and Genesis 1 says that they were given authority to govern over the day, night, and to separate light and darkness.  And yet, while God gave those cosmic forces authority to govern certain aspects of creation, we as sons and daughters of God are not meant to be ruled over by celestial bodies.  Certainly we experience a certain measure of their rhythms through times and seasons, but we are meant to be able to transcend those rhythms, not to be governed over by them.

This is one of the reasons why astrology is an unhealth practice for the follower of Jesus.  If we are not ruled over by the various celestial bodies, then it would be impossible for astrology to work.  After all, astrology is generally based on the premise that our position in the universe and the energies from the various stars relative to our position influence the day to day events of our lives, and particularly this is governed on a personal basis on our individual position in the cosmos when we were born.  After all, what we think of as a static location as a planet in the cosmos is roughly the equivalent of a tiny small spinning ball bearing on a rotating top that is whirling around a whirlpool in the bed of a truck that is making concentric ovals as it navigates the parking lot of a circular stadium.  In other words, nothing about our movement through the cosmos is static or “in one place” and even on a scientific level it is possible that the gravitational forces of these various stellar bodies influence us each in some small way.  And while an individual star might not make that much of a difference, tens of thousands of stars added together could reasonably have more considerable effects.  And yet, we aren’t meant to be governed by those forces, but rather as sons and daughters of God we are meant to rule and reign with Jesus Christ over all spiritual and cosmic forces.

The discussion here isn’t really about astrology, but about how to disconnect ourselves from the energy matrix that astrology works under.  After all, the reason astrology works is precisely because humanity has historically been governed by the stellar bodies in question and the spirits behind them.  As sons and daughters of God whose job it is to release the cosmos from its bondage to decay (Romans 8:20), we cannot expect to significantly influence the current system if we are bound by its rules and regulations.

Hebrews 1:3a tells us much about the energy system we live under, and there is much we can learn from it.  It states, “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.”  This verse is pregnant with meaning.  First, the son is the radiance, or light energy that comes from God.  Second, it says he sustains everything, which means to continually keep things alive on an ongoing basis.  Third, He does so by his “powerful word.”  A word is a frequency or vibration or energy.  If we put this all together, it basically means that the powerful being of light energy who releases this power from God keeps everything in all creation alive continually by the ongoing emanations of energy that He emits.  John 1:2 also tells us that Jesus is the Living Word who is the fabric of all creation, and from Him all life is derived.  Acts 17:28a says it this way, “For in him we live and move and have our being.”  If for some reason Jesus were to cease emanating His glory into all creation, then we would instantly stop existing.  Science has proven that all matter vibrates, but scientists have posited that it is possible to reach a temperature so cold that matter ceases to vibrate.  When water freezes, we consider it solid, but it forms a still-vibrating crystalline matrix.  At absolute zero, a temperature equivalent to -273.15 C or –459.67°F, some believe it possible to cease all vibration, but I find this improbable.  Why?  The life-energy of Jesus sustains all things, so I find it highly improbable that someone would be able to negate that life energy via technology that exists and works because of that same life energy.

Ultimately, what all this talk about vibrations and the energy of the cosmos means for us is that we need to be conscious of the fact that our goal is to live outside of the constraints of the energy of this realm.  In Genesis 1, God created light on the first day (Genesis 1:3), but it was only on the fourth day (Genesis 1:14) where God created the sun and moon and stars.  We have been living under the power of the created light of Genesis 1:14 when we need to live from the creative light of Genesis 1:3.

If we look back at the garden of Eden in Genesis 2:8-9, we see that all the fruit bearing trees were given for food, but the tree of life was the one that was designed to give life.  This means that the rest of the food God provided wasn’t meant to provide us with the ability to survive, but rather for our pleasure.  In fact, according to Strongs Lexicon, the word “Eden” means “pleasure” or “delight.”

God is bringing this revelation of His abundant life forward at this time, and as He does so, I believe we will learn how to disconnect from the created energy/created light system and tap more deeply into the creative light and creative energy that proceeds directly forth from His mouth.  After all, Jesus himself said “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God”.  There is a promise given to us in a few places in scripture where we will not require food or drink to sustain ourselves.  That doesn’t mean we can’t or won’t, but that as I mentioned above. it is for our pleasure and not for sustenance.  In Matthew 4:4 Jesus quoted a verse out of Deuteronomy to Satan saying, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”  Jesus already knew that it is possible to live on substances other than food.  In fact, He recognized in John 6:51 that it is the “bread that comes down from heaven” that we are to eat instead

Energy, vibration, and frequency are gaining added focus as new information about quantum fields come to light, and as new technologies are developed.   Many who are spiritually hungry from all backgrounds and belief systems seek deeper understanding of these topics as they seek to deepen their spiritual growth and experience God in fullness.   For those who are new to this realm, the massive quantity of information out there can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be.  When broken down into various parts, the entirety of the picture can be understood more easily, and the inseparable interchange between science and spirituality can be more clearly grasped.

The first best-place to go to understand the spiritual nature of vibration and quantum stuff is found in the Bible in Hebrews 1:3a.  In the NIV it states “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.”   There are a couple words that should jump out in this verse:  radiance, sustaining, powerful, and word.

Radiance involves emanation of light.  Sustenance is to continually maintain or keep someone or something alive or ongoing.  Powerful means filled with virtue or energy or capacity (lit. power-filled).  A ‘word’ is either written or is a vocalization, and in this case it seems to refer to spoken words.  Thus a ‘word’ here is in fact a release of frequencies of sound that are sent forth from the sender.

If this were all put together and the meanings fed back into the verse, it says something a bit more profound and instructive than at first glance.  “The Son, Jesus, is the emanating outward of light of God’s glory, and perfectly represents him.  He continually maintains and keeps alive all things by the ability that is filled with virtue and overflowing with energy which is released through a series of vibrations at varying frequencies that he sends forth from himself always.”

Said a little more simply, Jesus’s continual release of energy holds the fabric of the universe together and keeps all things alive and in existence.  The corollary being that if for even one moment Jesus stopped releasing the energy that sustains the universe, all things would cease to exist.  That doesn’t mean everyone would simply die, but the matter would not actually BE anymore.  It would be NOT.  It would be as it was in the Beginning when God was all that there was, because nothing had been spoken into being yet.

It is no strange thing then that when God created the heavens and the earth that He did it by speaking.  Those who wrote the Bible maybe only saw a portion of what that entailed, but science gives us some interesting insight into this.  First, understand that fields of science have discovered that everything that exists vibrates unceasingly, from the largest building to the smallest sub-atomic particle.  While one might feel like they are sitting still at times, all of the particles of the body are constantly in vibratory motion all of the time.  Absolute Zero is a theoretical temperature that is so cold that matter would cease to vibrate.  It is thought that if one were to get an object at that temperature, the minute subatomic fabric of its makeup would literally fall apart such that it would no longer exist.  It is still a theory because no one has yet reached it, but it is likely an impossibility, knowing what Hebrews 1:3 says — that Jesus is constantly releasing energy into all things to keep them from ceasing to vibrate.   This instantly negates the ‘clockmaker’ theory of creation, in that God didn’t just make humanity and the world just to leave it all alone, but is moment by moment sustaining the existence of each and every single person whether they are aware of it or not.

So what does all this mean for one’s daily life?  That depends on how deep one wants to go.  To start off simply, look at the eyes and the ears – physical organs responsible for sight and hearing/sound.  They both sense information on different wavelengths of the Electromagnetic Spectrum.  On this spectrum are included visible light, infrared light, microwaves, Ultraviolet light, x-rays, microwaves, and radio waves.  There are likely far more wavelengths than the types listed here – ones that are yet to be measured with scientific instruments, but these are the common types of frequencies of the earth.

The visible and audible spectra are not actually somehow different things, but simply different wavelengths of energy.  Eyes function because they take in certain wavelengths of light and translate them into meaningful images.  Ears work because they take in certain wavelengths of sound and translate them into meaningful noises.  Vocal chords work because they vibrate at particular wavelengths and produce certain levels of sound based on how long or short the chords are at the time of vibration.  All of these are examples of the body’s response to different frequencies, but all are just parts on a continuum of energy vibrations.

Medical science has found various uses for these different frequencies as well.  Because living tissues vibrate at a different wavelength from nonliving things, medical procedures can be safely performed using various frequencies.  For example, using certain wavelengths kidney stones can be broken up into smaller pieces that the body can safely expel, a process called lithotripsy, without harming the surrounding tissues.  A machine called an ultrasound uses sonic wavelengths to visualize organs through other tissue – most commonly uses to look at babies in the womb and to look at the flow of blood vessels without actually having to cut the body open to visualize them directly.  MRIs, X-rays, and CAT scans are other machines that use different wavelengths of energy as well, and they can help diagnose problems such as tumors, brain bleeding, broken bones, lung diseases, and any number of other issues within the body.

Common western medical sciences are not the ONLY ones who have found use for frequencies.  Flower and Gemstone Essences and therapeutic essential oils use the frequencies of various plants and plant products to encourage the body toward greater health, supporting and even providing the body with healing frequencies that can be used to balance harmful frequencies, or in some cases remove and resolve them entirely.  There are also devices that are used all around the world (but often not accepted in the U.S. due to the medical mafia) that use frequencies for healing, and these do not require the invasive procedures such as surgical cutting and burning of tissues that often accompanies Western medical ‘cures’.

Another type of frequency-based technology that assists with the body and health/healing largely fall under the umbrella of EMF-shields.  EMF stands for Electromagnetic Frequency, and these frequencies are very harmful to living tissues.  Computers, cell phones, and even refrigerators emit EMFs, and this has caused a significant decline in the overall health of the developed world.  It is almost impossible to evade an increasing number of high-quantity EMFs as more cell towers and wireless internet signals are erected around the globe, in workplaces, and even in homes.  Over time, these EMFs wear down the body’s internal energy fields and make the individual weaker and more vulnerable to every kind of stressor – both physical and emotional.    There are many products out there that also help augment the body’s energy field and help it protect itself from harmful frequencies from all of the electromagnetic items in our world.  While there are many out there, however, not all provide the same benefits, and not all have the same level of R&D behind them.

One of the reasons that this is even a physical need for humans is that the body has a similar electromagnetic field to that of the earth.  And if some thought is given, this makes a lot of sense – the body is constructed from the earth itself.  Even the Bible has said it — “You are dust, and to dust you shall return.”   The human body is made of literal organic elements which can be found in abundance throughout the earth.  However, much manmade technology such as cell phones, radio towers, wireless internet, computers, cars, battery-powered watches, and more create this electromagnetic pollution that degrades the personal energy field and creates openings for sickness and disease.

In the past, the concept of ‘vibration’ has been dominated primarily by non-Christian religious groups and has largely been ignored by all but those on the fringe of the science world, but as time marches forward, all of those barriers are breaking down.  As this happens, new inventions are being made, and even new music is being produced.  For instance, there is a CD that is now on the market titled “Abundant Human Elements” which is a CD of music that has been made with resonant frequencies of the 13 most common atoms in the physical body.  As one listens to the music and is in its proximity, the body is able to more closely match those frequencies in every place where the body’s atomic signal has wavered.  What this means is that this music actually helps heal on the atomic level from damage caused by electromagnetic pollution and even negative emotions, and all one has to do is listen to it to get the benefit!

A man named Len Horowitz did a lot of research into the frequency of 528 hz and has declared it to be the frequency of ‘love’, and a frequency that causes literal DNA repair.  Another notable frequency is that of 432 hz.  Research on either will uncover new and interesting details about music that has largely gone un-taught at least in the Western world, and many people are now changing the frequency of the music they listen to in order to match their music to one of the above two wavelengths for greater health and overall better life.  For those who are interested in learning more, google search Len Horowitz, 528 hz, Solfeggio, and 432 hz, or go to the Friends of Eden links on the right side column and visit ‘Sound that Heals’.

In the same way that these frequencies have physical value for our daily life, they can also have spiritual value as well.  Take one’s thoughts, for instance.  Thoughts are actually scientifically proven to emit wavelengths of energy.  If someone were to know how to READ those wavelengths, they would be literally reading one’s thoughts.  In heaven, where all thoughts are laid bare and nothing is hidden from one another, mind-reading is a normalcy.  Angels and demons communicate in this way as well.  In the blog post “They’re Not Your Thoughts” one can read about experiences where people have had negative thoughts and at some point in time realized that it wasn’t just them doing that thinking, but rather that demons that were putting thoughts in their minds.  More than just ‘thought insertion’, these spirits literally release negative wavelengths of thought and the human spirit picks up on those vibrations, turning them into real thoughts in the mind.  People then blame themselves for this darkness and negativity and even depressing thinking though they are their own thoughts, when in reality they aren’t coming from them in the first place.

Negative thoughts are not the only thought-frequencies at work.  Positive thoughts and feelings vibrate at a different set of frequencies than negative thoughts and feelings, and at a higher level.  Science has proven that the higher vibrations of positive thoughts have marked health benefits, while lower vibration from negative thoughts and even emotions can cause harm to the body.  It is not for no reason that Philippians 4:8-9 states “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.  Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”  It is this very fact, that lifegiving thoughts have even earthly health value, which promotes peace in one’s life and environment.  Studies from people such as Masaru Emoto and his ‘Messages in Water’ series prove that our thoughts and beliefs don’t just affect our own selves, but our surrounding environment.  If positive thoughts and feelings bring life to the body then they will also bring life to those around one as well.  There is an author named Gregg Braden who speaks of this in his book titled The Spontaneous Healing of Belief.

While thought life is very important, and continuous thoughts over time start to develop pathways in the brain that promote those kinds of thoughts, there is more value spiritually than just addressing ones thoughts.  Many people actually discern spiritual activity via frequencies.  There are some people, myself included, who even get a ringing sound in their ears at times when there is some sort of spiritual activity taking place.  There is a sensation of a change in atmospheric pressure somehow just outside the ear canal, then an audible high pitched ringing sound is heard.  The pitch and volume vary from occurrence to occurrence, and it can happen in either ear or both.  There is still very little that is understood about this phenomenon,  such as what the differences in volume and pitch mean, but this is conclusively not the same as the medical condition tinnitus.

So what does one DO with all this energy and vibrations information now that it has been gained? Many are trying to sort out just that very thing.  It is proven that certain frequencies perfectly match the brain waves that we put out at different stages of consciousness – alpha, beta, theta, and delta waves.  People have made machines and even music that utilize these frequencies (or lower, corresponding resonant frequencies in the audible range) to help train the mind to go into specific states more easily, and this can be used to some effect in meditation for both health and spiritual uses.  As understanding expands, this also tends to lead people into other energy-related fields and the issue of the ‘energy field’ comes up.

Many different groups have many different terms for this energy field —  aura, energy field, biofield, Luminous Energy Field, magnetic field, and more, but  whether one calls it an aura or a biofield doesn’t in any way alter the nature of what it is and what it does – function as an integral part of ones being.  The physical body, as mentioned earlier, also is influenced by its electromagnetic field (part of the overall energy field) and that of other things around it.  In fact, everything that exists has its own energy field due to everything vibrating at its own frequencies.  Interacting with other energy fields – both of objects and other living things, alters ones life in often-subtle ways.  Even being in physical proximity to another person causes the natural overlapping of energy fields, and the quantum transfer of data from one field to another.  The positive and negative thoughts and emotions discussed above are also transferred at this time, and in such a way it is possible to influence someone without ever saying a single word to them.  Given that this is an influencing factor in daily life, whether aware or unaware, it is no surprise that cultivation and care of that energy field has become an increasing focus in the Western world.

Some Eastern cultures, such as the Indians and Chinese, have developed physical practices that help the body function better and work with this energy field.  The Indians have developed a method of medicine called Ayurveda.  This method focuses on working with the body as a whole to put it in a sort of energy-balance and to correct imbalances.  Chinese medicine does the same, but uses a different set of theory.  There are also myriads of meditation practices such as Qigong, Tai Chi, Yoga, and others that help promote energy-field health.  Whether looking at Indian or Chinese practices, however, both agree on one key point:  that the body has centers and areas of energy within the body that influence its function.  Ayurveda refers to these energy centers as Chakra and Chinese medicine refers to them as Meridians, also understood as lines of energy coursing through the body.  They are a lot like blood vessels, lymph, or the nervous system, but with energy instead of physical tissue.  Acupuncture, shiatsu, and reflexology all operate using these lines of energy and help the body process out and resolve frequencies that promote disease and in their place promote health and vitality.

There are other ways we can make use of these healing energies as well.  Some people wear certain crystals or gemstones for health.  The reason this works is that the stones each give off a certain set of frequencies on an ongoing basis, and those frequencies are purportedly healthy for whatever condition that person is addressing.  Many precious or semi-precious stones carry frequencies that have an emotional-healing component as well.  In various “New Age” circles and among those who practice witchcraft, certain stones may be used in rituals and spells due to the way that they help carry or alter frequencies and store power and energy for spell work, but that is obviously not a practice I recommend.  Nevertheless, the reason people use stones for these practices is precisely because they have influence on the natural realm through the various frequencies they carry.  This issue of whether stones can be used for healing isn’t a matter of right or wrong from a religious perspective, but is a simple fact in that all creation vibrates, and God has put healing frequencies in many of the plants, stones, and other objects in this world, all of which are for our benefit.  The Kings of Eden has collaborated with Freedom Flowers to develop a line of Divine Gem Essences to help capture the healing frequencies in certain gemstones and release them to the world.

Give Me Your Time

Today’s blog features a guest writer, author Rebecca Clayton.  She unveils some of the things God has revealed to her about dominion over time.  Read on!

 

It’s been a bit of a struggle to get this post done. I’ve been really busy lately and just never seemed to find the time, which is ironic because the subject is just that – time.  Over the last few years God has been talking to me, on and off, about time. How it works, and more importantly – that He can bend it, at will.

 

It began around 2009. I was in church one Sunday and we were singing “How great is our God.”  When we sang the line “Age to age stands, and time is in hands” God suddenly spoke to me.  “Give me your time, and I will multiply it – just as I did the little boy’s lunchbox.” No sooner had I written this in my journal than the speaker got up and said, “I wasn’t going to preach on this today, but I really feel like we should talk about the feeding of the 5,000!”

 

Over the next few years God and I talked about this, on and off. I was kind of stuck with the mindset that what He meant by “give me your time” was to spend more time focused on Him in worship and prayer. Of course that isn’t a bad thing but the problem is, it isn’t really me.  Try as I might, I’m just not the quiet, ordered contemplative type. I’m noisy and chaotic and full of new ideas. I also have three kids, a dog and a husband – time is at a bit of a premium in my life!  So I kind of got stuck, thinking that I couldn’t do what God wanted – give Him more of my time.

Then about 18 months ago, something started happening. The first time was one morning. The family had all gone to work and school for the day, and I had an appointment booked to call someone at 9am sharp on ministry business.  At about 8.50 am I thought I would do a couple of chores whilst I waited for the time to come.  I unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, fed the dog, wiped all the kitchen worktops down…then I got a bit carried away and folded a huge of dry laundry and put it all away upstairs. As I was finishing this I remembered about the time and glanced at the kitchen clock.

It said 8.50. I panicked because thought that the kitchen clock had stopped and I must have missed my appointment – running to the lounge I checked the clock on the mantle – only to find that that, too said 8.50am!  I had completed around 30 minutes housework, but the clock had not moved.  As I marveled at this, God reminded me of those words He spoke to me years before — “Well, I did say that if you gave your time, I would multiply it.”

I was floored! In that moment He stripped away layers of religiosity that I didn’t even know I had built around my thinking. Giving God your time isn’t about religious service or meditation – it’s about acknowledging His Lordship over every area of your life and letting go of your anxieties about time.  Since that day I have often seen time “bend” – though so far, I have not been able to bend it when I choose. It’s as if it only happens when I’m not looking. My husband, however, made an accidental discovery recently.

One Saturday morning we decided to drive into the city for a spot of shopping. As we neared the outskirts of the city, the traffic slowed right down. It was around midday on a Saturday – so I wasn’t surprised.  “And it starts” I said – being a bit gloomy. No one likes sitting in traffic. My husband corrected me.

“No, we won’t get stuck – we will have a clear run.”  From that point on the traffic flowed smoothly. Not only were we in the centre no time, but there was no queue as we entered the multi-story car park – after we parked walked back past the entrance – there was a queue reaching back around fifteen cars!  As we continued our day – we noticed the pattern repeating – the queue for the changing rooms in the department store somehow evaporated just at the point we needed it. When we came out a few minutes later there was again a long line of shoppers waiting to try on clothes.  Similarly, throughout the day whenever we needed to go to the checkout – there was suddenly no one in line, where moments before there had been a long line – suddenly there was none.

At lunchtime when we went to a diner the waitress told us there was a ten-minute wait for a table – but was back to show us to our table within moments.  My husband – who’s not one for “fluff” –  was first to remark on this phenomenon we were experiencing. He firmly believes that his declaration in the car cleared the way for us as we moved around the city.

These experiences have permanently altered the way I think about time.  I used to have a stock phrase in moments of stress – “I don’t have time for this.”  God has been gently reminding me that in fact, I have the same amount of time as everyone else- perhaps more – it’s how I view it that counts – is it mine, or His? He has also been reminding me of the power of my declaration so if I catch myself saying, even just thinking, that do not have enough time – I quickly correct it by thanking God that He created time, and there is always enough – because time is infinite.

I’ve also been pondering this:  Jesus is the lamb slain before the foundation of the world. (Rev 13:8)

As a believer, we are one spirit with the Lord. He lives in us, and we live in Him. (1 Cor 6:17, Col 1:27)

So that means… that we also exist outside of time. Which might explain how people report phenomena like being in two places at once, for example.  Now, if I can just master what I am learning then my next guest post might not take so long to write.    😉

The Time for Figs

I was listening recently to a podcast by Justin Abraham of Company of Burning Hearts out of Wales. In it he was talking about time, and how we are not meant to be subject to time, but rather reign over it. I have given this subject some thought over the past number of years as I have explored what I refer to as time and space alteration miracles, but have had minimal success duplicating results. In addition to the revelation contained in the message, it sparked a number of thoughts in me as I listened.

Romans 8:19-21 says: ” For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.” This is a key verse in understanding our intended dominion over time–that time itself, as part of creation, is under bondage to decay, and that as the children of God it is our responsibility to bring time out of the domain of decay and under our dominion, where we will rule and reign over it and steward and direct time as we see fit. It is only from that place that we can understand our purpose over time, and then get an understanding of Jesus’ perspective on the same matter.

There is a story of Jesus and his encounter with a fig tree that always struck me as strange, because it did not appear to demonstrate his heart toward creation in any way. In fact, his attitude toward the fig tree seemed downright heartless, but in looking deeper I believe it illustrates an important lesson about who we are meant to be and how creation is meant to respond to us as the sons and daughters of God.

“The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.”
“In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. (Mark 11: 12-14, 20-25)”

I always had trouble with this passage because Jesus cursed the tree for not bearing fruit when it wasn’t even the season for bearing fruit, and I can safely assume that Jesus knew that. I also don’t think he was just in a bad mood and releasing his temper on the tree. No, this is about time and seasons. As a son of God, Jesus lived (and still lives) in a realm where all creation can respond to him according to his desires. He passed this legacy on to his disciples in John 15 when he said “ask whatever you desire and it will be done for you.” (Verse reference here). What was really happening is that Jesus desired figs, but the tree did not respond and give him figs in spite of his ability to change the flow of time and to live out of a different realm of time than the creation. When Jesus is around, time can go forward, backwards, skip around, or even stay still–it doesn’t matter because the sons of God reign over creation–they are not subject to it.

I confess to not understanding why the tree didn’t produce fruit under those circumstances, but the scriptures have many references to time not working how we always have assumed it does. Joshua fought a battle where the sun stood still. Hezekiah prayed and time turned backwards by hours. Jesus was slain before the moment of conception of time and space–he was the slain lamb outside of time! Time has no dominion over Jesus nor does it have dominion over what he purchased on our behalf. We have been brought into the inheritance of the sons of God–those who live outside of the constructs of space-time, outside of the finite rules of mass and conservation, energy and motion. All things are possible with God because we are now born from above–from heaven, from the eternal outside-of-time-and-space realm where there is no law. As He is NOW, so are we in this world.

Today we feature a guest blog on Time-warping written by a friend.  For various reasons she prefers to leave her name off the post, but there is follow-up information at the end if you want to get in touch.  Enjoy!

“This all started a few years ago when I was praying in tongues a lot. By a lot I mean 1, 2, 3 hours a day. Speaking in tongues during drive time, and singing elsewhere in case somebody could hear me. At some point during that intense spiritual activity, I started making really good time.

It was like time would stand still and I’d keep going.

At my job, there are logs of where I was at what time, for accountability purposes. There is plenty on record of me being in two places, not at the same time, but a minute or so apart. There were very few days where I wasn’t going home hours ahead of schedule.

I worried about this in the beginning, and decided that since I wasn’t entirely in control, I wasn’t going to worry about it and I wasn’t going to falsify data, even if I could figure out how to. I would run around and let the chips fall. This has resulted in shiny-shoed government officials following me around with stop watches and later, GPS tracking my whereabouts and speed.

I was out walking one day when a guy came flying out of his house yelling at me. “How are you faster than me when I’m faster than you?” I walked back puzzled. He elaborated that I can be out for a casual stroll while he power walks or runs and I always beat him. I hadn’t realized I was in a race. Things like that make me a little nervous that I’m being noticed. Evidently I don’t look like The Flash, since he was commenting on how slow I seem.

Is This Supernatural Transport?

This is the first thing people assume.  I don’t think so. I don’t believe I’ve ever had that happen, although I’m certainly wanting that. I don’t think it’s that, because I’m cognizant of everywhere I go. I don’t have the “skip” that transporters have. It doesn’t feel any different as far as speed, the only thing I notice is that it goes smooth for me. I seriously think the time just changes. I also know how to function efficiently in the natural realm, and that factors in as well.

So why was this happening? That’s still the big question. At the time, I was writing my book, and running a business and I’ve since added a second business, so in some ways it made that possible, but there were also some drawbacks in what a friend referred to as “spiritual jet-lag.” There would be this period afterward where I wasn’t being tremendously effective with all my new found time.

For lack of a better way to explain, I was having a hard time functioning in the here and now. Not that I couldn’t, I just didn’t want to. I was a bit sullen and resistant coming out of it. I didn’t want to have a “normal” conversation with someone, I didn’t want to go home and sit on the couch with my husband and watch tv. I felt like I had been ruined for “normal.” The problem was, everybody I love still lived in “normal.” It broke my heart.

There were lots of nights where I would go up on the mountain and grieve and pray before I felt like I could go be around people again without being crushed. Not exactly a time saver at that point, and I felt responsibility to do “important” things with my gift of time. Yet I did get past that stage, and I find that I’m fine and functional anywhere, anytime now. I also understand that sometimes the gift of time is just that; a gift, with no strings attached.

How To Bend Time

I teach a business class for spiritual entrepreneurs and the following is excerpted from the module on time management.

While I can somewhat lean into this and get it to happen, this is far from a formulaic promise that you’ll have the same results. I’m still figuring it all out. I will say that following these steps will lead to good fruit, even if it’s not the same as mine.key to time

 

 

1. Pray in the Spirit

As I said earlier, I really believe this is where it started for me.  While I think it was more of a catalyst to get me into a proper mind frame than the actual activity itself, it did the job.  I’m not going to tell you that you need to pit in the time I did, because this is certainly not a “works” thing, but for me the 2 hours a day blew the lid off in several ways.

2. Mind Frame.

You can’t step out of time in anything less than a full peace. Being at rest even in the midst of activity is key. Having scarcity mentality in the area of time will stop you up. So will offense or any other negative dwelling place.

3. No Time Excuses

“I don’t have time” can no longer be a valid reason. This doesn’t mean you say yes to everything, it means it can’t be your go-to excuse for why you say no to someone.

4. One With God

Get a revelation that you are one with a God who is outside of time, therefore you are too. He’s in you, you’re in Him, head knowledge doesn’t cut it. Ask Him to show you this personally.

5. Ask That You Would Walk in Wisdom.

Something I have been turning over in my head for a couple years, is the verse “walk in wisdom towards those outside, redeeming the time.” It continues, “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt that you may know how to answer every man.” Then in Ephesians 5 we have “redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” That chapter is all about having your act together on an inner level and walking in wisdom. I’d recommend a review of that whole chapter since it does address being filled with the Spirit, and speaking and singing in tongues.

So if you’re going to redeem time, wisdom is the common denominator. Wisdom, we are told, is available to anyone who asks.

Kairos Vs Chronos​

Redeem means to take the power from another. Kellie, a student in my business class gave us a good lesson on Kairos vs Chronos. The gist is Chronos is the Greek god of time. This is where we get “Father Time” and chronological time. We need to not empower that dude. So we’re clear, other gods = demons. Kairos of course by the New Testament is an appointed time in the purpose of God.

Wikipedia says Kairos “signifies a time lapse, a moment of indeterminate time in which everything happens.” I quite like that definition. Kairos is smack dab in the middle of where we want go be. Redeeming the time, I believe is stepping out of chronological time and into Kairos.​

Note: I don’t believe that chronological time in and of itself is evil, only that we aren’t to be subject to it. God uses it, and so should we. It should serve us, not the other way around.

Here’s your Einstein on the matter. He of course said that time is relative. “The perception of past, present and future is a stubbornly persistent illusion.” Take that Chronos. We are made to have eternity in our hearts.

If you’re in Him and He’s in you, then you’re outside of time. Actually, it’s a dual thing according to what you choose to engage. When you prophesy, you are pulling from the future. When you observe something in the past, you change it. Google the observer effect in quantum physics. You are always moving in and out of chronos time.

Time Change is Linked to the Battle Between Good and Evil​

Time changed at the fall in Eden, again in the days of Noah, then again at the cross where the curse became null and void. This verse from Daniel’s end times vision is interesting. 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”

This “wearing out the Saints” thing gives validity to my thinking that a posture of rest is crucial. It’s yet another Kingdom paradox, to go faster, you get out of your hurry and rest. To be clear, rest in this case does not mean inactivity, rather finding your rhythm and being at peace in your work.

I found it useful at one point to draft myself up a prayer. I tend to think better on paper, and I’m not a verbal processor whatsoever. Here’s mine to borrow.

I repent of any areas I have not been walking in wisdom. I repent of animosity towards others for taking my time. I forgive those who have been careless with time; mine, theirs, those that I care about… I ask forgiveness for judgements about time; mine, theirs… I repent for wasting time, not understanding time or my relationship with it. I repent of every time I have used it as an excuse, or believed that I don’t have enough. I repent of coming into agreement with Chronos, and toiling under the sun. I declare that I am free from their influence! Show me a better way! I repent of clock watching and schedule sticking. I declare those things serve me rather than me serving them. I am not a victim of a 24 hour day.

I want unlimited time, not just at work, but in relationships, at home, in the garden/secret place. I want enough to go around. I ask for a repayment of time that’s been lost. That it would be supernaturally made up.

No more running out of time, I declare that I am one with a God who is outside of time and space, therefore I am too. I am not under the sun, or any other natural cycles but the Son. I have all the time I need. Show me what to do with my time, teach me to steward it well, but also set my mind at ease when I warp so that I’m not worried that I’m doing the wrong thing with my gift of time. I repent of thinking that I have to do big things with the surplus, and may there always be a surplus.”

Supernova RemnantA while back I was spending time with my good friend Hope. We were having a fun time discussing the supernatural, God, etc., which is pretty common for us. A topic we have regularly touched on is supernatural physical transportation. This has many names, but among the most common are ‘translocation’ and ‘teleportation’. Oftentimes the word used has little to do with any notable difference, but is just a matter of who is using the terminology.

For those who are unfamiliar with this concept, it appears it at least two notable places in the Bible. The most oft-quoted Bible-passage where this phenomenon occurred is in Acts 8:39-40 when Philip was taken up by the Spirit from the presence of the Ethiopian eunich and moved to Azotus, some distance away. The other obvious instance of physical transportation found in scripture is in John 6:21 when Jesus stepped in the boat with his disciples when he was walking on water and they were immediately on the far short. This phenomenon can be placed within the purview of the ‘gift of miraculous powers’ in 1 Corinthians 12.

God has shared a few details about translocation with me from time to time, and one of the concepts He showed me is that this is to be a team-process, not just an individual one. What I was shown about this concept of team-transport is that it isn’t going to be something that one person learns and then shows or instructs everyone else, but that a team of people was going to work together to bring the revelation and experience about. He didn’t specify who this team was, as I am sure it is a much more global event and many of the ‘team members’ would never know each other. In spite of this fact, the interplay between people and the sharing of revelation and experiences from one person to another causes everyone together to achieve more than one can alone. With that said, I already knew that Grace was a part of my local ‘chapter’.

Long before I even knew her, the Lord told Hope that she would one day be teaching people how to physically transport themselves from place to place supernaturally. I have felt a desire for this as well – both to do it myself and to teach others. On a natural level it seems imminently practical. With the price of gas rising over the past number of years and no real stabilization in the world’s commercial markets, we can only assume this trend will continue. The way I see it, why pay hefty gas prices when I could simply skip most of the travel-portion of a trip and arrive at my destination with a full tank of gas? Additionally, it is a prudent use of resources, far better for the environment, reduces wear on your vehicle, and saves time. Or at least that’s what I had thought until I started to learn more by discussion, revelation, and experience. What I thought, while true, is only part of the picture.

To back up a while before this conversation with Hope, my wife and I had a couple of experiences of being transported while driving together. The two most recent ones happened while driving back from a home-group that usually meets two hours north of us. The first time we translocated home from one of those get-togethers we observed that we skipped 22 exits on the highway and arrived home approximately 15 minutes early. The second of the two events happened during a snowstorm – it had started snowing on the drive up, and by the time we were ready to leave and driving back, the roads were much more snow-covered. A number of cars had already been escorted into the ditch, so we drove at half speed. We spent one hour of the trip at normal speed and one at half speed and arrived home in the normal 2 hours. What SHOULD have happened is that our two-hour trip should have taken three hours, but instead we traveled the same distance at half the speed and arrived in the same amount of time, traveling the entire physical distance.

I learned something from those two experiences which I have never heard anyone else share, and that is there are at least TWO different ways someone can get transported. One is by alteration of space and the other is alteration of time. As I said above, my thoughts about the benefits of physical transport are true but aren’t the whole truth, and that’s because I had discounted the option of traveling with a time-alteration. The benefits I had listed only apply if there is a space-alteration. And there are other differences too.

For instance, the benefits of space alteration are very useful if we need to get from one location to another. We can arrive faster, or even instantaneously, if we transport in space. We save time that way, and if we are using a vehicle we gain the other benefits I listed above. There are other possible benefits as well. For example, let’s say we need to travel across a body of water that is otherwise impassable – say from the Mainland US to Hawaii. The amount of faith required to drive ON the water for that distance, not to mention the amount of gas it would take and/or to faith the gas tank full, the length of time one would have to be driving, and any other hazards of driving a car across a vast ocean all come into play. Given that option, translocating and cutting all of the watery parts out of the equation is a much better plan. Think of it as a type of space-bending where you fold space and drive across the smaller distance. The water would be in the folded-over part and land on both of the shorter pieces. That was how I have conceptualized it in the past, and while it is an overly simplistic explanation, it adequately addresses the basic concept.

Time alteration is equally beneficial and it has some unexpected applications. Some of these applications were obvious to me at first, but others didn’t come to light until Hope and I got together and talked months after the two transport events. The main benefit of altering time is that you travel the whole distance but do it in less time. If you are late, trying to avoid rush-hour traffic, on a long trip, etc., altering the flow of time around your vehicle is a fantastic way to travel. While you don’t get the gas savings, you save a bunch of time that can be ‘spent’ at your destination.

For instance, if I woke up late one day for a plane flight, and the flight was supposed to take off in five minutes, no amount of physical transportation is going to help me. Even if I was instantly transported to the baggage check area with my baggage, and then transported to the security line and then spirited away to the terminal and walked onto the plane, it would take more than five minutes. I probably wouldn’t be dressed and ready to LEAVE in five minutes, and besides, even if I was ready to leave immediately, the security checkpoint would make me late for sure. This is where time alteration becomes handy. If I alter the flow of time around me, I can take my good old time getting up, dressed, and making my way to the airport. I can leisurely check my bags and move through security, then saunter confidently onto the plane, all with three minutes to spare before takeoff is scheduled.

What makes this particular aspect of translocation is that the benefits are not limited to travel. As I said before, this method is useful even if there is NO trip to be taken. Using time alteration properly, it is possible to complete two hours-worth of yard-work in fifteen minutes. If I were particularly tired at work, I could take a LONG nap on my ten-minute morning break and wake well-rested and ready for the rest of my day. These are only two examples, but the variety of applications are immense.

As we looked at the benefits of each type of translocation, Hope and I realized that there are times when one method of travel is more useful than the other. In other words, each has its own strengths and weaknesses, and it is important to be aware of them if this is to become a common practice. As mentioned before, no amount of time alteration will move the Pacific Ocean out of the way. But if we bend space, it disappears and we can travel easily. If there is ever some sort of impassable object in the way – whether a dead end with a road on the other side, a river with a bridge out, or a mountain with no roads leading across it, physical transport is an imperative. It comes with the fuel-savings benefit and because the trip crossed a smaller amount of distance, it also takes less time.

Time alteration is useful when there is business to be conducted while en route. For example, the amount of prayer, conversation, etc. that can happen in a six-hour car trip with a friend is substantial. But what if you were able to have the span of time INSIDE the car that covered about six hours, but your actual experience external to the car was only about forty-five? You would arrive at your destination far sooner than planned, but you would have been able to engage in all of the prayer, communion, revelation, etc. due to the length of time you were able to spend talking and sharing with each other? If you had been transported physically, you would have lost the benefits of that trip together. Time alteration is also useful when there is no trip to be had, and when you just want or need to get something done faster.

When Hope and I were discussing all this, something else very cool happened. There are times when the best way to learn things you don’t know is to teach someone else. The reason for this is that at times when you are explaining something to someone else you may say something really profound which turns out to be new revelation. The fun part is that you heard it for the first time when you heard it come out of our own mouth. In fact, it may have been so good that you stopped talking just to process whatever you just said. Knowing that this happens it is possible to take advantage of the revelation-on-the-go method of teaching and start trying to teach people how to do this stuff, knowing full-well that I would learn on the way. Hope and I discussing this topic had this very effect, and we uncovered additional understanding.

We discovered that when physically traveling, there is no actual bending of space taking place. If we were doing that, there would be an alteration of physical structures which is obviously not happening. Entire buildings would be crushed in the bending-process, which means that bending isn’t what happens. While it makes explanation easy to our limited minds, what is happening is that our EXPERIENCE of space is being altered, not the space itself. The same is true with time. Time as a whole is not altered, but our experience of it is. When my wife and I drove home in that snowstorm, there was a jeep in front of us most of the trip. While it is possible that jeep was an angelic vehicle, it is equally possible it was just a jeep with normal human passengers. If it were the latter, they most likely did NOT experience the time-change that we did, and therefore their trip took the whole three hours while ours only took two. The only reason this is possible is that our experience of time and that of the vehicle we were in was altered, but nothing else. A way to conceptualize this is if you think of moving through time while traveling a distance, then stepping sideways outside of the flow of time while still traveling the distance. When you step back into time, you step back in where you stepped out, and thus the experience that little or no time has passed. If we spent an hour on our trip at normal speed, an hour at slow speed, and then one hour’s worth of time where we stepped out of the stream of time entirely but were still traveling, that explains how we were able to travel three hours-worth of distance in two hours’ time.

Where this idea starts to mess with my brain is when I look at other possibilities. What would happen if at the end of the trip that jeep and we ended at the same destination? If we compared watches, would theirs be an hour after ours? Or would they too get brought into our time-alteration experience as well? How is it possible for two vehicles to travel the same distance within view of each other, but have one arrive an hour sooner than the other? I have no answers to these questions at this time, but these are the sorts of questions that get my mental gears moving.

I’m the type who likes to understand the hows and the whys of things, and like to really grasp not just THAT they’re happening, but like to understand them in-depth. I honestly believe that we are stepping into a time where this sort of thing is necessary to learn, and believe that God WANTS us to learn how to do it at will. The only way I know how to learn something that no one else seems to know how to do either is to ask, seek, and knock for the revelation and the experience, and to evaluate my experiences and those of others. I hope and pray that the information we have uncovered with be helpful in your journeys through time and space, and I ask that anyone who has learned or uncovered anything on the subject either through revelation or experience share it with me as well as anyone else who is hungry and seeking. I believe that as we learn, grow, and share together, our Team-Travel experience will be more enriched, but I also believe this will accelerate growth in this area.
