An Unhealthy Fascination With Death

[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]

There is an insidious belief in many Christian circles that says God is really interested in healing the soul and both didn’t and doesn’t prioritize bodily healing.  Consider such verses as Isaiah 40:7-8, which says, “The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the LORD blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” A glance at this verse clearly juxtaposes the idea that God’s word lasts forever, but that all of mankind dies. It isn’t a far jump from there to say that because the physical body is going to wither anyway, God doesn’t really care about or prioritize it. What He really cares about is soul transformation, and values it far above and beyond bodily healing. Furthermore, some people go so far as to say that death doesn’t exist and that because the spirit is undying that when the body dies it isn’t really death, just a transition from one state to another.  I can see where people come from regarding this, but the belief is inherently flawed—these are all nice-sounding but inaccurate ideas that foster an unhealthy fascination with death.

One of the main problems with beliefs such as those above is that they promote an unhealthy attitude and understanding toward physical healing, raising the dead, and abundant life and immortality. As a result, healing has typically not been very successful in the greater Church as a whole, resurrections from the dead are uncommon, and immortality is nearly unheard of.

Consider that Jesus, in John 10:10, made a very radical distinction for the people of his day. Stating clearly that “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full,” Jesus was telling the people of his day, all of whom believed that Satan worked for God and that all death ultimately came from God, that the two were in opposition to one another. He further clarified that He, Jesus, came to bring life that was so abundant that it could not be counted. The word in that passage that is translated as “full life” or “life more abundantly” is the word perissos which basically means exceedingly and surpassing far more than is needed. Jesus wasn’t mincing words or skimping on the details when he explained that He and Satan were in opposition, the one promoting death and the other promoting life—not just a little life, but far more life than could be necessary in any given situation.

Healing is quite simply a manifestation of life. Raising the dead is likewise a manifestation of that same life, and immortality, abundant life, and divine health are all words to describe this life that is overflowing such that death cannot begin to have a hold. This means that not only can one’s body not get sick, but it will not grow old or see disease, illness, or decay in any form. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 says, “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” These verses show us that even those who are dead will be raised back to life in bodies at some point. This heaven-when-we-die reality is only a temporary state because God has no intention of keeping us there exclusively anyway.

The only way we can accept the idea that God doesn’t place importance on our physical bodies is if we teach what the Church has taught for the past thousand years or so. And while most sensible people might assume that would be a good thing to do, the fact is that the early Church Fathers didn’t actually hold such beliefs. It was actually a false teaching that not only crept into the church over time, but gradually took hold and overthrew the previous more-accurate beliefs about God, judgment, heaven, and hell. A great (and short) book to read for more on this subject is The Question of Hell by Richard K. Murray, available free on his website thegoodnessofgod.com (http://www.thegoodnessofgod.com/books/)

If we look at what Jesus said quite plainly about our physical bodies, it becomes impossible to believe that God holds no value in our corporeal form. Jesus said in John 11:25-26, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me *will never die*. Do you believe this? (emphasis mine)” In John 6:48-51 he perplexed the people when he said, “I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” Keep in mind that when read in context, Jesus was comparing physical death in this passage, not spiritual death. He states quite clearly here that we can eat and not die. Sickness, infirmity, weakness, disease—all of these things are manifestations of death in our bodies. It is impossible for us to have death actively working within us and for us to simultaneously live forever.

The TRUE gospel is a gospel where Jesus came to destroy the power of death. We quote it all the time in John 3:16, but don’t seem to realize what we are saying. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” That word “perish” there means “to die.” God loves us so much that Jesus came so that those of us who believe in Him would literally never die. That is the true message of the gospel. Once the power of death was defeated, we no longer have a date with death and can live forever because of what Jesus has done.+

It is impossible to not-die and have eternal life if the means by which we gain eternal life is by dying and going to heaven after we die. Jesus wasn’t talking about spiritual death when he spoke to the people because he already knew that our spirits are eternal and cannot die—he spoke of physical death. Yet, while Jesus actively healed people from their injuries and diseases, we welcome death and even teach people that it is a transition into a “greater glory” with God. If you have failed to fully receive the working power of the blood of Jesus in your life then yes, after you die God is gracious and has a holding place for you, but no, you did not actually receive the fullness of the gospel that Jesus purchased because His gospel is one where you don’t die. Remember that in John 14:6 Jesus said that he was the way to the Father, not death.

God is rapidly driving the Body of Christ into a head-on collision with this revelation. As this happens, we have three options: attempt to halt the car even though the brakes have been cut, grab the steering wheel and attempt to veer aside, which will only end up in a crash, or simply watch with eyes wide open as God steers us into the most amazing depths of His goodness, mercy, and grace. Are you up for the ride? Because ready or not, here God comes!

How To See In The Spirit On Purpose

[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” text_font_size=”16″ use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]

A friend dropped by recently for a visit, and somehow we began to discuss strange things I have seen in the spirit.  I said something about “I looked in the spirit and saw . . . ” After I finished speaking, my friend asked me, “What do you mean when you say you looked in the spirit?”  I was a bit surprised at first because I guess it seemed obvious to me at the time, but then I realized it took me a few years to learn how to do it in the first place, and then a few more years to become really confident with it.  Fifteen years later it has become fairly normal for me, but it wasn’t always that way, and sometimes I forget that fact that I didn’t always know how to see in the spirit on purpose.

I think I must have stared at him strangely for a few seconds before answering.  You see, my friend has been around the gifts of the spirit and the prophetic as a whole for decades longer than I have, so it struck me as strange that he was asking me how to see in the spirit on purpose.  I asked him something to the effect of “Don’t you know how to do it?”  You see, I incorrectly assumed that people who are experienced in the prophetic gifts already know these things, but I am discovering apparently it’s not the “norm” in the church to teach people to do it on purpose, and I think this is partly because people can’t teach it if they can’t do it—and it seems most people can’t do it on purpose.

This isn’t some special superpower I have—it’s a learned ability by means of releasing an expectation I have to perceive things in the spirit.  Quite simply, because I expect it, I have engaged my faith for it to occur, and thus it happens.  It might or might not have happened the first time I tried it, but it is pretty accurate these days as I have learned to expect and perceive what I wish to see.  The information is there in the spirit realm for anyone to access who knows how.  The problem, then, is learning how.  So let me do my best to explain how to see in the spirit on purpose.

Spiritual gifts are what we might call “resident” or indwelling.  Romans 11:29 says,  “For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.”  In other words, it doesn’t matter what we do or don’t do, they remain in us and can be used at our disposal.  Peter and John demonstrated this at the Beautiful Gate in Acts 3:6-8, where it says, “Then Peter said, ‘Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.’  Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.”  Peter recognized that he had the power of God dwelling within him and at his disposal.  Peter very clearly said “What I do have, I give you.”  Peter knew he had something to give!

This sounds incredibly simple, but it’s a key starting point.  To see in the spirit on purpose, you must realize that the ability to see spiritual reality already exists within you.  Then, you need to practice using it to draw it out.  Years ago, the Lord showed me a key in the book of Ezekiel about seeing in the spirit on purpose.  Early on in the book, when the prophet Ezekiel describes the visions he has, he usually says “I looked and I saw.”  Later on in the book, there is occasionally an “I looked and I saw”, but mostly it just says “I saw”.  As the prophet trained and exercised his spiritual sight, he moved from having to look on purpose, to having engaged and exercised his spiritual sight to the point that sometimes he would see without having to activate it himself.  This is a perfect example of the prophet practicing a gift at his disposal and reaping the results later on.

So how do we do this same thing?  Anyone who knows how to speak in tongues understands that you can do it at will, by your choice, at any time.  The Holy Spirit prays with and through you as you do it, but *you* are the one who initiates it.  How do you initiate speaking in tongues?  Simply by deciding in your heart to do so.  Seeing in the spirit is the same.

Explained another way, we activate it through expectation or belief.  Faith activates function.  Let me give an example of how I do this practically.  Any time I do inner healing and deliverance work, I don’t like hoping or assuming the job is done, so I prefer to have some indicator of when we have finished.  I do this by expecting God to show me.  That expectation is the starting point, but then I focus on my imagination to see what God wants to show me.

One time I was working together with some friends doing inner healing work, and we needed to know if we were done.  What I did was expect to be shown what percentage of the work was done, and then paid attention to my imagination.  What God showed me was a room that looked like it was in an ice-castle.  It had a throne made of ice, and the entire room was filled with floating ice crystals.  As we completed some of this healing work, I would see a portion of the ice crystals in the vision disappear.  Each time we would do some more, I would re-imagine the room God had shown me to re-connect with the vision, and each time the number of ice crystals would lessen until finally I didn’t see any more of them at all!  This was God’s way of showing me clearly through images over the course of an hour or two where we were in the process.

Other times during that session I would look at a power connection we were trying to break in the spirit, and at first I could see the power flowing, then faltering, and eventually ending.  It wasn’t all at once either, so I checked back into that scene multiple times as well.  Again, I did this by expecting to see the flow of power, then looking in my imagination to see what it looked like.  Each time I wanted to check back, I would re-envision the vision I had seen the first time and it would update itself.  A third time we were cutting attachments between the demonic and this person.  I was looking to see if we had cut them all, but could see in my mind’s eye that we weren’t done, so I told my prayer partner to continue praying.  I then mentally zoomed out from what I was seeing (again I did this simply by expecting and wanting to) and saw a crimson cord with three braided strands, of which two had been cut and one was left. When we cut the third one, I saw the whole three-strand cord severed completely in half.  We had thought we were finished before, but my visions told me that we weren’t until I observed this final cut occur.  As I watched this happen in the vision, the person manifested noticeably, showing us a visible sign that confirmed what I saw in the spirit.

Something else that apparently isn’t normal for most believers, even for those who see in the spirit, is to see what other people are describing when they talk about it.  For example, if you were to come up to me and tell me about a vision or dream you had, I will most likely be seeing that same vision or dream in my mind’s eye while you are describing it to me.  I asked some very prophetic friends of mine the other night if everyone does that, because I assume everyone else does, and they looked at me with confusion until I explained what I meant.  It turns out its not something everyone else does, but I don’t think that it couldn’t be—anyone can learn it.  I think I simply expect to see what they are describing, and because of that I see it.

If you want to see in the spirit on purpose, it all begins with expectation.  Well, it all begins with the Holy Spirit, but once you’ve gotten that far, you move on to expectation.  Extend your faith to believe that you can see things, and then pay attention to what is happening in your imagination.  If it helps, close your eyes and then try it.

I get that some people get all freaked out about the whole “doing things at will” thing.  I can’t go into all the reasons why that fear is incredibly misplaced in this article, but it is misplaced.  God has already given me power and authority to release His will on the earth (Matthew 28:18-20), so when I step out in faith and do so, I can do it with confidence I am waking in his will.  This is a tool God has given us, and we need to learn how to use it properly.  Besides, as I mentioned above with the inner healing session, it is incredibly practical, but that is just one possible application.  If you need to hear something from God in your personal life, expect to see the answer.  If you need guidance, expect to see the answer.  When I took my finals for a religious studies class in college, I would pray and expect God to help me.  Once, I prayed, and He gave me a vision of an aerial view of the layout of the desks in the class, with the seat I needed to sit in highlighted in blue.  I prayed, I expected, and got an immediate result.  As you do this, and practice it, like Ezekiel it will begin to happen to you not just when you try, but when you don’t try.  And that’s when things get truly fun.

According To Your Faith Let It Be Done

[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” text_font_size=”16″ use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]

I was doing some inner healing with a family member recently.  We had identified a particular demon, identified the boss demon in charge of that one, and I then interrogated the boss about their points of access.  In this process I asked that boss about HIS boss.  I didn’t get very far as he said he didn’t really know anything.  Mind you, demons are liars so it can be difficult at times to know when they are telling the truth or just lying again, but in this particular moment it seemed to have answered truthfully.  Thus, I asked it “Who would know?”  After being evasive for a bit, it informed me of another fragment in the system we hadn’t know about before that knew who the Big One was.  Progress!

After casting out the boss and his lackeys, I spoke to that part he had told us about, whose name was Penny.  Penny was very pleasant, and extremely helpful.  She told me that the Big One, (whose name she didn’t know either, so that’s what she called him) is a principality, a territorial spirit over the USA.  More specifically, the Big One is very big, and affects many people,  targeting many individuals throughout the nation and sending groups of demons against them to prevent them from walking out their purpose.  Penny shared that the Big One appears like a dark fog that creates a dampening field over the nation to prevent the work of God from progressing.  One particular area he dampens is the ability of miracles to function.

While that revelation in and of itself is heavy, what Penny told me next made me laugh.  I asked Penny “Do you see him affecting me as well?”

“Not very much. . . largely because you don’t care and don’t believe he can.”

There is a valuable truth contained in the last thing Penny said.  While yes, it is helpful to know that there are spirits specifically sent against the people of God to prevent us from performing miracles and to keep us walking out our purpose and destiny, of much greater value is knowing how to reduce such negative influence, even if you aren’t spending any time praying against the Big One and his demonic henchmen.  The key Penny shared was that our faith changes any dynamic.

Seriously, think about that.  This part just told me that there is a principality, a powerful ruling territorial spirit over this vast nation who attacks the people of God to prevent them from living out their purpose, but he is only able to influence me to a small degree for one simple reason:

Because I don’t believe he can touch me.

Sometimes it literally is that simple.  Jesus spoke about the power and importance of faith and the converse, unbelief, on multiple occasions.  In Matthew 9:29-30a Jesus was praying for two blind men and the scriptures say, “Then he touched their eyes and said, ‘According to your faith let it be done to you’;  and their sight was restored.”  He was very clear that their faith was the influencing factor in that situation—the factor that decided how much healing they received.  Mark 6:4-6 says, “Jesus said to them, ‘A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.’ He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.  He was amazed at their lack of faith.”  We see this same dynamic repeated yet again, but in the negative.  This time, due to a lack of faith, widespread miracles are unable to be performed and Jesus was limited to healing just a few sick people.

Imagine that Israel had a territorial spirit like the Big One trying to prevent the miraculous.  Then enters Jesus—a man who knows who He is in the Father, and knows the authority and power he has been given from Heaven.  While yes, the unbelief of a group of people does affect His ability to function in the supernatural at the highest levels, He is still able to heal sick people in spite of their doubt because He knows He has the faith needed to get the job done.

It can be very easy sometimes to fall back on the “it doesn’t happen in the US” crutch.  But what would happen if you decided that demons didn’t have the ability or right to operate around you?  What if you decided to extend your faith to believe for a devil-free, doubt-free zone around you wherever you go?  What if your faith created a spiritual anti-dampening field that combats the demonic dampening fields set against us in this nation?  In reality, what makes us think that every nation doesn’t have a principality assigned to do the same?  We must learn to understand and activate the power of our faith to destroy the work of hell and release the virtue of heaven in our midst.

There is nothing super-special about me more than anyone else that makes me less-affected by this principality.  The only difference is in how much we believe it has the right or ability to affect us.  After all, if things are done to us according to our faith, then let us be people who believe what Jesus said of us in Luke 10:19:

“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”

When God Didn’t Tell Me About The Fire

This past weekend was the Portland Healing Revival, a conference that Hearts of Fire Ministries hosted (I’m on staff), featuring Ivan Roman and Todd Bentley, with worship by Angela and Michael Pinkston and the Unfiltered Worship Band.  The conference was awesome, and God showed up in a big way, touching hundreds of people with His love and glory.

Running a conference requires a bit of planning on the front end, a lot of work during the event, and a little bit more on the tail end.  For this particular event, it involved me going Sunday morning to drop off a bunch of our ministry equipment at the church where we store it.  I met another ministry associate there, and the two of us unloaded my truck in a short time.  As we finished, Todd and his assistant pulled up, as he was speaking at that church that morning, so we chatted with them for a few minutes, then helped her set up his product table while he went to meet with the Senior Pastor.  I had promised my wife I wouldn’t stay forever, so I only stayed for one worship song (after greeting some friends), then got in my truck to head home.  As I got in, I saw I had left one of our staff badges on the seat of the truck.

Annoying.

I had literally just taken everything else inside, and had forgotten the badge in the vehicle from two nights prior.  I felt this nudge from the Lord to “go take it inside and put it where it goes.”  I mentally balked, as we will be holding our monthly Catch Heavens Flame meeting at that church this weekend anyway—I can just return it then.  Keep in mind, I’m still parked literally right outside the building, and where the badge goes is probably not more than sixty feet from where I am sitting.

I felt this nudge yet again, and the message that the Lord communicated with it was “Be a good steward and put the badge where it goes.”  For some background, good stewardship is important to me.  I firmly believe we as believers need to be responsible with the things we have been given, whether a job, house, ministry, family, the earth, or anything else.  It’s scriptural, it’s right, and it’s important.  After hearing that, I got up and took the badge inside, put it with our storage, and left the room to leave.

That’s when I smelled the smoke.

When I arrived at the church someone had told me they were having a potluck, so I headed down the hall toward the kitchen to see what might be burning.  I continued smelling smoke all the way across the eating area as I passed the tables, then rounded the doorway into the kitchen where crock pots were lined up along the counter.  At this point, I couldn’t smell the smoke anymore and I wasn’t sure why.  I sniffed at each electrical outlet a slow cooker was plugged into just in case that was it, but they were all fine.  I still didn’t see an obvious source of fire, so I kept walking along the counter and reached the stove.  One of the burners on the stovetop was on for no discernable reason, as nothing was cooking on it.  Strange, but no visible burning. Until I looked down at the oven and saw a tendril of gray-black smoke rising from the oven door that was slightly open.  I quickly pulled the door down to see a large cardboard takeout box in the oven.  To make things worse, the handle at the top of the box was touching the upper coils of the oven and was literally burning.

I grabbed some dry dishrags nearby and pulled the offending takeout container from the oven and put it by the sink, pieces of smoldering cardboard ash falling off the box as I did.  After ensuring it wasn’t going to burn any further, and after I turned off the stove, I notified one of the pastors, showing them what happened so they would be aware, then got in my truck and drove home.

This entire encounter blew me away.  Ten minutes later and the entire building could have been on fire.  Everyone was worshipping upstairs, and it is unlikely anyone would have come downstairs for an hour or more.  Six or seven ministries use that church, and we had just loaded most of the ministry’s equipment into the basement, so had the church gone up in flames, it could have been bad in all kinds of ways.  What struck me the most though, wasn’t how God had gotten me there to stop a fire, but that when He did it, God didn’t tell me about the fire.

This encounter could be the beginning of a number of different preaching messages—about how God knows each of our individual ways, speaking to me about stewardship as the thing to get me to go back inside, about how the enemy wants to block our ability to hear in the spirit (God may have tried to tell six different people inside about it for all I know), or even the importance of following that still, small voice speaking to us.  In reality, any and all of them are valid and valuable takeaways.  God does know how each of His children work and what makes them tick.  God also knows the enemy wants to prevent us from hearing from God, so He makes use of backup plans and side-routes to lead us to the goal anyway.  God also speaks in ways that are both obvious, as well as in those quiet nudges that we have to learn to respond to.  Regardless of which one speaks to you the most, I think we need to be reminded that God cares about every detail of our lives.  There is never anything too small or too large for God to take notice of.

Whether it is being a good steward and returning a badge, or God watching over and protecting an entire church of people, nothing escapes His notice.  We can be encouraged when we hear stories like this that in every situation God has a plan to turn things for our good.  Bad things can and do happen, and those things are the work of the enemy, not some cosmic plan of God’s to teach us some kind of lesson.  Yet, in spite of the enemy’s attempts to steal, kill, and destroy, God is committed to working in and through every situation to bring out our highest good.  And that’s a promise we can take to the bank.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)”

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ (Jeremiah 29:11)”

Seeing In The Spirit To Release Physical Healing

A couple of months ago my wife and I got a gym membership after talking about it for over a year.  While our fitness goals differ, we have gone faithfully each week for the past few months to enhance our health primarily through swimming.  Well, Sunshine took a big hit this past week when her back went out on her.  The cause is unclear, but when it was time to go to our next “gym appointment” we decided to go anyway—me to work out and her to gently rehab her back in the pool.  After I finished swimming however-many laps (I find it too hard to count so don’t bother), we were slowly going up and down a lane together chatting when she asked me “You know thing where you look at people’s physical bodies and see what is wrong with them?  Can you do that for me?”

I proceeded to look at her back in the spirit and saw this strange-looking thing that was a bit like a combination between a black eel, a pair of those tongs they used back in the day to pick up blocks of ice, and one of those black spiked collars you might put on your junkyard guard dog.  It had lodged itself in her back at the location/level of the vertebrae where she felt the pain and tightness.  Anyway, I hadn’t even prayed yet, as I was silently looking in the spirit to see what I could observe, but while I did she felt something lift off her shoulders and was like “Wow, that’s amazing! It feels better already!”  I didn’t tell her that I hadn’t even prayed yet.  I’m guessing an angel must have taken care of it, but I don’t really know.  Next, I told her what I saw and pulled it off of her back.  Then I told her to see how it felt.  No joke, she was twisting and turning with a significant increase in range of motion compared to thirty seconds prior.  She wasn’t totally healed at that moment, as she ended up having more issues later on that night, but the immediate change was substantial.  As I thought about it later, I wanted to share this story on the blog because I think it will help a lot of people.

I have touched on this subject before, in my article “Healing With The Seer Gift”, but in short I look in the spirit at the person or problem I am trying to “diagnose”, and as I do that I start having visions about the nature of the problem.  In my wife’s case it was a demonic entity of some kind, but sometimes I will see colors instead of beings.  Other times I will see objects, spiritual or psychic devices of some kind that are influencing the area in question.  Once, my wife was telling me about a headache she was having and said “it feels like there is a nail in my eye.”  I simply reached out toward her face, acted like I was pulling a nail out of her eye, and the headache left immediately.  The reason she felt like there was a nail in her eye is because there was a nail in her eye—just not a physical, tangible one.

I think sometimes we forget that the unseen realms are in fact very real.  My grandfather once had a ceremonial African mask hanging on his wall at his house.  I told him about the demon I saw sitting on top of it (it looked like a big black chameleon and it hissed at me), and he basically didn’t believe me.  My reply to him is key to this subject.  I said, “Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean I can’t see it, and it doesn’t make it not there.”  The unseen realms are all around us, and our inability to perceive them doesn’t make them go away.  If a demon or witch or whomever drives a spiritual nail in someone’s eye, it will remain there until it gets removed, either by us or an angel.  In the same way the physical realm has object permanence, so do the spirit realms.  The gifts of the spirit are part of our tool-kit that help us to interact with these invisible realms, but many times people don’t know they can activate those senses on their own, at will, and when they do, they don’t always know what to do with what they see.

Some of it is trial and error, but a big part of it is being led and guided by Holy Spirit.  As I have dealt with spiritual objects, spirits, and more over the years I have learned a few things, but I still have to ask Him sometimes what to do in a situation.  Following His lead is the first key to using this ability to heal.

The next thing we have to recognize is that when we act something out we aren’t just playing make-believe.  Our imaginations aren’t just a pretend thing.  The way we interact with the spirit realms is through our desire, intention, and belief.  Our imagination is actually a vehicle that puts our belief into action.  In other words, when we imagine something, we are using our power as co-creators with God to actually create that very thing.  When I “imagine” myself pulling a demon off my wife’s back, I’m not just playing make-believe—I am activating my spiritual abilities to actually pull a demon off my wife’s back.  While some find this hard to swallow, the proof is in the fruit.  If it didn’t work, and I really was just pretending, my wife’s back would have had no change at all.  Sure, someone could argue that my pretending activated her faith to believe it was better, but that doesn’t usually work when the problem is a demon, because they will fight back against you, and in a situation like this where the faith is supposedly “make believe” to begin with, how would that force a demon to leave?  No, in pulling the spirit off of her back, I was making use of my authority as a son of God to do what Jesus said we could do in Luke 10:19, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”

The third thing we have to do (in no particular order) is engage the angels.  Whether we do it by speaking to them directly, praying to God to have them do something, commanding a thing to change, or simply praying to God for a situation to get fixed, all of these are valid ways we can engage angelic assistance.  Everyone has ideas about which of the above options are permissible for the believer.  Instead of arguing with others over what we are allowed or not allowed to do, just pick the one that fits for you and move forward.  Get angels involved in the situation.  They are ministering spirits sent to us to minister salvation (Hebrews 1:14)—the saving, healing, delivering power of God.

Seeing in the spirit is an incredible key to helping physical healing manifest when we pray, and it works for emotional healing too!  Not everyone is automatically gifted in this area, but it is a skill that anyone can learn.  Some may have it easier than others, but to say that one is incapable of seeing in the spirit is like saying some people get born with eyes.  While that may happen in real life in a rare case, I assure you that the person’s DNA contains the information on how to make eyes, but something got messed up along the way.  Likewise, your spirit-body has eyes (Ephesians 1:18), and if it doesn’t for some weird reason, then it’s something God needs to heal and fix, not a handicap to live with.  I have learned over time and through practice to both see and hear in the spirit, and I personally think that every believer needs to have both skills trained through regular use.  The enemy wants to block our ability to perceive what God is doing in any and every situation, and sometimes if I am unable to see clearly, I can hear God speaking to me.  If I can’t hear Him, sometimes I will have a vision.  If neither work, sometimes I will have this inner-knowing, a perception of some kind, about what to do.  I encourage everyone to train your spiritual senses so that you can hear God, do what He is doing, and manifest the life of Christ Jesus on the earth.  And who knows?  Maybe the next time you have back pain, or a headache, or some other ailment, you will remember about this article, take a look to see what the problem is, and discover that this really does work.  Don’t just take my word for it—try it for yourself and see what happens!

Despising Spiritual Gifts

[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” text_font_size=”16″ use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]

Have you ever had a loud ringing sound in your ear? I have. In fact, I was woken up the other afternoon with my right ear ringing quite loudly. I’ve had this happen many times before, the ringing, but never for this length of time, and never such that it woke me up from sleep. The droning noise went on for hours!!

It’s bad enough that I have trouble sleeping at night sometimes due to working night shift, but its even worse when I can’t sleep during the day. Thus, when I woke up around 2:30 in the afternoon, the first thing I did was roll over and try to go back to sleep. That didn’t work so well. At first I thought it was something mechanical, as I can often hear the ringing sound from televisions when they are on, fluorescent lights, and other devices. In fact, when I was a child I could know the moment someone in the house turned a television on even if it was on another floor in another part of the house simply because I could hear the frequency of the television regardless of where I was. This should say something about the pervasiveness of electromagnetic frequencies in our homes and lives, given that this was 20-plus years ago and we have even more technology now, but I digress.

At any rate, I assumed someone must be using some extremely annoying piece of tech nearby that I was hearing, as that was the only explanation my sleeping brain could come up with. After an hour or so, when I finally gave up on getting more good sleep (I had close to 6 hours total I think) and just got up, I realized that it probably wasn’t technology as I have never had tech be this loud and persistent before. From there I realized I might be discerning witchcraft taking place.

It might be a jump to the reader for me to say “ringing in the ears equals witchcraft.” The meaning of this particular manifestation of the gift of discernment of spirits is something I have learned over time. Hebrews 5:14 explains this saying, “But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” I simply know it from having it happen over and over. I don’t have a scripture verse to explain it or any other clear marker that points to why I know this is what it means, but typically when I hear ringing in one ear or the other, that’s what I am discerning. This is very different from the medical condition known as tinnitus which is also a ringing in the ears, but a steady and ongoing noise. In my case, it is only ever in one ear or the other, both the pitch and volume vary each time. Usually, when this happens I will pray, and directly after I do the sound fades away, lasting in total for about five to ten seconds (if you feel you understand the significance of which ear means what, please comment below). Thus, one can understand my concern when this lasted for hours.

Again, I’ll point out that I was fairly slow on the uptake to even realize what was happening (although I’ll blame a little of that on sleep ^_^ ), but in retrospect I will also say that my attitude was a bit of a problem. I complained multiple times to my wife, “This is SO ANNOYING!” She took it quite seriously, prayed for me, and was incredibly sweet about trying to help. It did nothing to change the sound at first, which was quite disappointing, but sometime over the next half hour or so the sound did dim down a bit even though it persisted. I found out about an hour later (about four hours after it started) why that was.

I have multiple friends who are victims/survivors of Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA). One of them had a problem that afternoon, which likely began around the time I was woken up by the shrill ringing noise. Without going into detail about the situation, I eventually realized my one friend might be having a problem, I called, and sure enough that was it. This person was even thoughtful enough to apologize for causing me problems, even though it wasn’t their fault to begin with. While the witchcraft I was discerning was certainly a big issue for my friend, there was another problem that was probably just as large for me:

My attitude.

I have spent a lot of time over the past fifteen years honing my ability to see, hear, and perceive the spiritual realms. This is something that I have given immense amounts of prayer, practice, impartation, book reading, more prayer, and more practice. So when I am actually getting the very thing I have prayed for, I’m all bent out of shape about it?? That doesn’t work.

I had to repent about it once I realized how bad my attitude was. Mind you, I wasn’t walking around grumbling to everyone I met about the problem, but my internal state that was an issue nonetheless. In Matthew 5:27-28, Jesus was teaching the Jews, saying “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Jesus raised the bar of expectation somewhat higher than the law. It didn’t matter if one actually committed adultery or not if the idea resided in the heart. This same idea is echoed in the book of Samuel saying, “But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7). God is more concerned about what is in our hearts than our actions, because it is the things within our hearts that cause us problems (Mark 7:15).

My take-away lesson was that while spiritual gifts can sometimes manifest at inconvenient times and in inconvenient ways, I need to have gratitude the Lord has answered my many prayers in such a way. After all, I have not only asked for discernment and to flow in prophetic gifts, but I have asked the Lord to make me aware of what the enemy is doing so that I wouldn’t be taken by surprise. As I reflect back on this, the Lord actually was quite good to me in the situation. After all, I wouldn’t have been able to pray and assist my friend if I hadn’t been made aware of the problem, and I wouldn’t have been able to grow through the encounter if the Lord hadn’t revealed my attitude problem. I would much rather be the guy who has the Lord interrupt my life with inconvenient things for the Kingdom than the guy who has a predictable life and makes little to no impact against powers of darkness to begin with. And in the end, I guess all of that is something that I really can be thankful for.

Pleasure In Miracles

[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” text_font_size=”16″ use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]

Recently the Lord has been challenging me and my beliefs about what He will and won’t do, and more specifically what He will and won’t do for me personally.  I watched a video this past week about some friends of mine who have been receiving bread supernaturally from heaven, and who have sealed bottles of water turn into wine.  This has been going on for a few years now, but while I enjoyed the video itself, I found myself getting hungry for my own encounters like this experience.  Recognizing that God has done some amazing this both for and with them, I would like to have that happen too.

For those who are familiar with my writing, this may sound odd, as I have seen gemstones, feathers, and gold dust appear on numerous occasions.  I have written two books on the subjects, Gemstones From Heaven and Feathers From Heaven, and am working on the sequel, Oil From Heaven, which should be completed later this year.  Nevertheless, I have a hunger that is only growing in me to see the miraculous more and more.  In spite of what I have experienced, I have much more that I have yet to experience.  Furthermore, many of those things I have encountered have been temporary in some way.  For example, the last time I recall having a gemstone appear was probably a year or so ago.  While some might be saying “I’d be content with just one”, I’ll be honest, once it happens once you hunger for it again and again because it is just that spectacular.

Well, as I began praying about this, the Lord challenged me, saying “Your problem is that you don’t really believe I want to do it for you.”  Whoa.  That’s rough.

But it’s true.

In spite of the miracles I have seen to date, I have trouble believing it will happen again.  It’s not that I think God doesn’t want to do them for someone—its that I have trouble believing God wants to do them for me.  Why is that?  What singles me out as someone so special that God doesn’t want to perform the same works He performs for others for me too?  After all, the Bible says that God doesn’t show favoritism (Romans 2:11).  If He does something for on person, He will gladly do it for another.  So where is my problem then?

Clearly, deep down, I believe a lie about God’s nature, His love for me, and the good things He has for me.  So how do I change my thinking (ie. repent) and begin to believe what He actually wants to do?  I find that looking at the Scriptures is a good way to begin that process.  What do they actually say?

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).

“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32).

The Bible says that it is God’s pleasure to give us the Kingdom.  Are miracles part of the Kingdom?  Certainly!  If so, then God takes pleasure in miracles and delights in giving them to us.  Are miracles “things”?  Certainly!  If so, then the Bible says that God will graciously give us miracles.  The word for “graciously” there is the Greek work charizomai which means:

-to do something pleasant or agreeable (to one), to do a favor to, gratify

-to show one’s self gracious, kind, benevolent

-to grant forgiveness, to pardon

-to give graciously, give freely, bestow

God takes pleasure in miracles.  He won’t just give them to us, but He will show himself kind and benevolent, freely bestowing them upon us!  Lack and limiting thinking must go, and be replaced with a revelation of God’s favor toward us.  In this process of pondering how I need to change my thinking, God brought my attention to his bread-miracles in the Bible.  Think about what God did in the Old Testament—He caused a bread-like substance, manna, to appear six days out of every seven, with a double-portion on the sixth day, in sufficient quantity to feed every single human in an entire nation of people for forty years!  When Jesus was speaking, he caused bread to appear that fed 4,000 to 5,000 men, not including women and children besides.  We call that multiplication, but at some point the “multiplied” bread had to appear supernaturally.  Is it really any different?

God wants us to experience miracles.  He wants me to experience miracles.  And He wants the same for you.  It is time to expand our thinking, raise our expectations, and transition to a deeper belief in the goodness and extravagance of God.  As we do this, I believe that we will move a step closer to experiencing the miraculous on a daily basis.

The Validity Of Witnesses

I had a private discussion recently with another believer, and the nature of the discussion had to do with the scriptural validity of immortality through Jesus Christ.  The other person’s underlying question was essentially “if we were supposed to live forever, then wouldn’t someone already be doing it?”  There are a number of problems with this question, but one in particular deals with the validity of witnesses.

A common question, or rather objection, I hear about immortality is “who do you know who has done it?”  Well, I suppose that depends on what you are actually asking.  Are you actually asking do I know someone personally because if I did personally know them then you would believe?  Because if I were completely honest, I don’t think that’s what people are asking at all.  I think what they are really saying is a statement that sounds like a question, and the statement would be something like “It’s not actually possible, or it would be common, and you and I and everyone else would know people doing it and see it happen, so I’m simply going to ask you to show me the physical proof and when you aren’t able to, we can accept that I am correct in saying it isn’t possible.”

I remember once, years ago, when I was discussing the spiritual gift of praying in tongues.  The person I spoke with was a cessationist (who believes that ended a long time ago), and he basically asked the question “do you know anyone who does it?”  I answered in the affirmative, because while I didn’t at the time, I knew other people who did.  Well, unsurprisingly his answer was “well, that can’t be, it must be through a demonic spirit.”  He asked for witnesses, I informed him that I had witnesses, and he immediately invalidated their testimony.  What good is asking for a witness if you decide that anything he or she says has no validity?  The entire point of a witness is for them to share what they saw and heard.  If you don’t like what they saw and heard, it doesn’t alter its validity—it just makes you close-minded.

I recall Jesus telling a parable that touched on this very thing.  The story was about a rich man and a beggar named Lazarus.  The rich man ignored the teachings of Moses and the Prophets, and ended up in a place of torment.  In his request to have Lazarus go warn his family, the reply was, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.” (Luke 16:31).

At some point in time we have to decide whether we are going to accept the testimony of the witnesses given us.  We actually have multiple witnesses of this very reality, that we can live and not die, but whether we will accept them or not remains to be seen.

Consider this:  The Bible states quite clearly that both Enoch and Elijah did not die.  Jesus died, but then came back to life, then after that proceeded to ascended to heaven still very-alive much like Elijah did.  These three witnesses alone should be sufficient to say “this is possible.”  If it is possible for some, then, it is possible .  James 5:17 says, “Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.”  While it might be far-fetched for some to accept that anyone can attain immortality, ascending to heaven without dying, if Elijah did it and the Scriptures are clear he was just like you or me, then we don’t have any excuses to keep us from accepting the possibility that we could as well.

Furthermore, there are others throughout history as well.  Possibly the most well-documented is that of the Maharishi of Mt. Kailash, a hermit who Sadhu Sundar Singh met sometime in the early 1900s; this man spent his time interceding for the world.  This man claimed to have been baptized by the nephew of Francis Xavier, a Catholic missionary who lived from 1506 to 1562 (Citation goes here).  In other words, using insanely conservative math the man was at least 340 years old, and in reality was probably around 400 years of age.  Either we believe the man who spoke to Sundar, or we don’t.  Keep in mind that this man was a hermit who lived in the middle of a mountain and had no interest in contact with most of humanity.  He gained nothing whether he lied or spoke the truth.  This man referenced others who also were hermits on Kailash as well, although I don’t believe the Sadhu ever met any of them (As a side note, Sundar was born in 1889 and was presumed to have died in in 1929, but that remains unconfirmed as no one ever actually saw his dead body, and considering he personally knew an immortal . . . ).  I once heard a story by a well-known charismatic preacher who was translocated by the Lord and met a Native American man who was over 200 years old.  I have heard other stories as well, but again, it all comes down to the validity of witnesses.  Are we willing to accept their testimony in spite of its rarity, or do we reject it because it isn’t common?

At the end of the day, isn’t that really what is on trial—whether or not God will do uncommon things?  The way I see it, if the Bible tells us something is in the promises of God for us, it doesn’t matter if it is a common experience or not. We are promised spiritual gifts, divine healing, raising the dead, and much more, but there are many who have never heard anyone pray in tongues, never experienced divine healing, and have never seen nor known anyone who was raised from the dead.  While some might dispute the validity of tongues for today, it is unarguable that divine healing and raising the dead are scriptural and are for us today.

In reality, the question we have to ask ourselves is “Am I going to let someone else’s experiences limit and dictate my encounters with God?”  Whether someone else is successful or not at living forever has literally nothing to do with:

1) Whether God has promised it for us
2) Whether God has prepared it for us
3) Whether the Bible supports this belief and
4) Whether I can access it through Jesus Christ.

It doesn’t matter if we don’t see it now, nor if we look foolish going after it.  1 Corinthians 1:27 says, “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.”  Looking foolish for pursuing the gospel is frustrating at times, but not enough to stop me from going after everything God has for me.  I don’t personally let anyone else’s success or failure dictate what I can experience in God—and neither should you!  That’s the part where we walk by faith and not by sight.  But here’s the cool thing: as we continue to walk in faith that “these signs will follow those who believe” and the evidence will eventually be there.

I discuss this and related topics in detail in my book “The Gospel of Life and Immortality,” available on both Kindle and in Print on Amazon.

SRA, CIA, DID: It’s Time To Get Ready

[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” text_font_size=”16″ use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]

There is a lot going on politically in the US right now, and one of the subjects the media is unlikely to talk about is Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) and one of the resulting problems it creates in the victims, namely Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). To learn a little more about fragments and where they come from, you can read my blog article titled ‘”Fragments – Part 3 of Divine Healing That Works”

http://www.thekingsofeden.com/2016/05/divine-healing-that-works-part-3/

It is expected that in the next year or so, although probably much sooner, we are going to see a lot of new information come to light about sex trafficking, satanic ritual abuse, mind control, ritual human sacrifice, and other perverse activities occurring in the highest levels of the US government, media, and entertainment. What I believe we are going to see is that there are a great many SRA victims that no one knew about. How is this possible?

SRA involves, among a slew of demonic rituals and other dark activities, what is essentially a combination of brainwashing, hypnotism, and subconscious Pavlovian suggestions, creating what is termed a “program”. Many SRA alters are the results of this purposeful programming, such that they respond in very directed, predictable ways depending on the external stimuli such as special words or symbols. These victims also have a lot of curses and demonic control that further complicates the issue, but intentional fragmenting of the soul to create alternate identities that can be brainwashed is a key part of this process. It is believed that some of the perpetrators of recent school shootings may have been victims of such programming. The CIA used to run Project MK Ultra, a set of mind control programming experiments, to learn how to do this very thing (For those who have seen the movie The Manchurian Candidate, this is a perfect example of people who have undergone MK-Ultra level mental programming but who are not SRA.). You can read the Wikipedia entry on MK Ultra here for those who are interested.  While the CIA publicly acknowledge that they shut down the MK Ultra program, which is technically true, it has moved past the experimental phase and simply has another name.

Whether SRA, CIA programming, or a combination of the two, the end result is going to be the same—alternate personalities (alters) that are essentially a fractured-off part of the individual’s soul that has formed its own unique identity. These alters may have programs that are very damaging, while others are more mundane—it varies from person to person, situation to situation, and alter to alter. I have an SRA friend who gave me her new cell phone number once, and later gave me a different one. Why the two numbers? The first time, an alter who isn’t usually responsible for handling that sort of thing gave me the number, and gave me the wrong one. Whoops! I remember hearing a story of another friend who walked into her kitchen and realized she had received some inner healing because all of her kitchen cabinet doors were open—she had unknowingly integrated the part who was responsible for shutting them. These are mundane stories but demonstrate experiences one might have if he or she has DID. Different parts do different things, and they don’t always share memories, so sometimes someone will have gaps in their memory because their core self wasn’t “awake” at the time an event occurred—an alter was and the core self didn’t have that memory.

I believe we are entering a new phase in history—a Great Awakening. I expect it will be filled with liberation of many of the governments of this world from corruption, as well as a mass-freeing of many who have been subjected to sex slavery, satanic ritual abuse, mind control, and much more. As this happens, however, we will need to have the right tools to help those around us who are struggling with demonic curses, split personalities, and mind programming. To do this, I believe we can do four things:

1. Become more aware of the problem. This can be done in a variety of ways, but even a cursory internet search will yield useful and helpful results. Amazon has a plethora of books on the subject as well. I have coauthored a book on the subject of fragments, alters, and inner healing titled “Broken To Whole“, available on Amazon. Two of the coauthors, Matt Evans and Diane Moyer, have written another book along similar lines, titled Divine Healing for Spirit, Soul, & Body.

2. Become aware of our own parts. As touched on in some of my other articles on the subject of fragments, alters, DID, and SRA, every person has fragments, but most people are unaware of them. Self-awareness and working on self-integration will help the individual prepare for working with or even just befriending others, as it gives perspective on what someone else could be experiencing. My article titled DID Self-Healing; Integrating Fragments and Alters is a useful resource to help move forward with this. A caution, it doesn’t work well for people who are SRA victims, as they tend to pass out and are unable to actually do the exercise. If anyone wants to work with a prayer counselor of some kind, you can go to our Resources page for a list of possible options.

3. Help others become more aware of the issue. With the advent of social media, this is very easy. For example, sharing this article or any of the others I have written on this subject on social media is a simple way to raise awareness with minimal effort. A simple internet search will yield a plethora of articles and information that can be shared with family and friends with the click of a button. Not everyone will gravitate to these subjects, but we all owe it to ourselves and those around us to become aware of the basics of this subject, if for no other reason than to not be caught unaware in the future. There may be people you or I know who have mind-programming and aren’t even aware of it until they read something you shared about the signs and symptoms of SRA. Dan Duval and Bride Ministries are a great resource for both personal learning and raising awareness.  I also highly recommend the following informational resource: SMART – Ritual Abuse

4.  Pray.  Prayer is the foundation for anything we want to see happen.  If we want corruption and evil exposed in the government, media, and entertainment industries, we pray.  If we want to see people set free from this kind of bondage, we pray.  Regardless of the situation, irrespective of the need, prayer should be the first solution to every problem.  Let us pray for God to open our eyes to the truth, and show us how to walk in freedom and life.

Look Into My Eyes of Love

[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” text_font_size=”16″ use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]

I opened up a somewhat leading question on social media this week having to do with hell and God’s love.  The initial post read as follows:

Question: Is hell something that God created?

If so, then don’t the scriptures agree that even hell cannot keep God’s love away?

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

What if even though hell exists, and people do go there, that Jesus, the lamb who was slain in both time and eternity (Rev. 13:8), is still able to save because His love never fails (1 Cor 13:8), and nothing in all creation is able to separate us forever from His love??

We have been discussing things such as what hell is or isn’t, does God love Satan, what the passage in Luke about Lazarus, the poor man, and Abrahams’ bosom means, and more.  The conversation has had its ups and downs, the ups largely being mature adult discussion and open dialogue, and the downs being pharisaic finger-pointers who brought nothing to the conversation (I had to delete one or two who could do nothing other than be rude to others), there was one particular story that stuck out at me such that I wanted to share it with all of you (done with permission).  This story is by Ashley Cook, and she shared a dream the Lord gave her after her dad died.  I don’t give post-dream commentary because I think it speaks volumes all on its own.  I hope that as you read, regardless of what you believe about hell, judgment, etc. that you will be touched by the vast and truly inexhaustible love of our Heavenly Father.

“When my Dad passed away, I was unsure of his salvation. I prayed and interceded, as the war for his soul was tangible at times. When I finally left his side to go home to rest on my birthday, I had a dream. It was my Dad meeting Jesus. My Dad was wearing this old worn out armor, with holes everywhere. In the dream, Jesus showed my Dad the cross and explained to him why He did it. Then, for the first time my Dad looked into the eyes of Jesus. Before he had been too ashamed to look him in the eye. And suddenly as He looked into the heart of pure love, my Dad could not deny Him. That one look brought so much love, and truth. My Dad’s armor turned into a beautiful shiny silver armor! I knew then my Dad had believed.

When I woke up I began to praise God. He spoke to me and showed me that He gives everyone one final opportunity to believe. He said “Do you think anyone can look into my eyes of love and still deny Me?” I believe in God’s mercy and grace, that when people die they are taken to meet Jesus personally and have one final opportunity to believe in or deny Him. I can’t say if there may be those who still deny Him and where they may go, but I have surely learned that God thinks way beyond my capacity to comprehend, and I should not think that the scripture is anything less than multidimensional!”

If anyone wants to join the discussion on Facebook, you can find it here.

If you want to read more about a view of God that doesn’t ignore the “bad stuff” and doesn’t give anyone a “free pass”, but recognizes God’s love is still preeminent above all things and that eventually Jesus’ love, expressed through His power of redemption, will redeem all things, then check out Richard Murray’s website, and especially his books, found here: The Goodness of God.  Many of his books are available for free on his website, and print copies of some of his work is available on Amazon as well:  Richard K. Murray on Amazon.  Richard has done a ton of research and his librarian-like mind is able to compile vast quantities of data from church history and the scriptures to share an exceedingly Christ-like view of our future.  This man impresses me.

If you want to read some fiction books that will encourage you with an overcoming, positive post-earth view of heaven, check out Tyler Johnson’s books The Coming and The UnredeemedThe Unredeemed is one of my favorite books of all time.  If you read them, you will be blessed.
