Training a Son of Our Father To Heal the Sick

One of the things we did in Peru 2023 with Overseas Missions was hold medical clinics, which, being a nurse, I play a role in.  The clinic process usually involves seeing patients, assessing their needs, giving medications where possible, then sending the problem list (written on a piece of paper with their name) to the prayer team to pray for the problems.  The results are pretty fantastic—almost everyone who goes through the clinic and gets prayer gets healed.  Because we are in a non-English-speaking country, however, that means we have to use translators because most of the team doesn’t speak the local language which, on this trip, was Spanish.  Our leader made some arrangements with locals he is in relationship with, and one of the translators, Jonathan, was the son of a local Iquitos pastor.

He did a fabulous job translating for us the entire time we were in Peru.  And although Jonathan was a pastor’s son, he wasn’t accustomed to praying for the sick (to be fair, I am the son of an Episcopal priest and I wasn’t raised to pray for the sick either).  So, while most of what the nurses in the clinic did was identify and treat physical problems and send people to the prayer team, I had a few times I felt the Holy Spirit nudge me to have us pray—so mostly I had Jonathan do it.  He was uncomfortable at first (he told me, but it was pretty obvious even if he hadn’t said anything), but he did great and was willing to push himself out of his comfort zone.  It probably helped a bit that for everyone he prayed for, their pain gradually left as well, so he could see the results of his prayers in real-time.

Now, when it comes to praying for the sick, I have a bit of a mental algorithm I go through in my head while talking to the Holy Spirit and just trying to be generally aware to spiritually discern what God is saying and doing, so I made sure to tell Jonathan my process, and I’ll share that here as well.

First, when it comes to heal the sick I begin with a prayer of command.  Something simple like, “All pain, leave now in the name of Jesus.”  You see, in Matthew 28:18-19 Jesus told his disciples that He had received all authority in heaven and earth, then delegated the disciples to go and exercise that authority on His behalf.  So, when praying for the sick the first thing I do is engage my authority and release power to heal, and expect it to be done in faith. Then, where possible, I have the person test it out and see if they can tell a difference.

After praying, one of three things will happen:  it will get better, get worse, or stay the same (or they may not be able to tell, so in that case I assume it has remained the same).

  1. If it gets worse, it’s a demon, so then I cast out demons.
  2. If it gets better but not all-better then God is actively healing them in that moment and I pray again.
  3. If it stays the same then I pray again because even Jesus prayed twice (Mark 8:22-25).
  4. And if it gets all-better then they’re healed. Give them a hug and let them know God loves them.

The rest of the prayer session tends to continue in a similar manner, with me praying then identifying what is happening, then adjusting from there.  If we hit blockages where nothing is happening after praying multiple times or if they have been gradually getting healed and it stops, then I cast out demons.  Once I have done that if it still plateaus, then I am talking to the Holy Spirit to see if there are emotional issues or curses or something else that are interfering with what we are praying, deal with that issue, then ideally go back to my prayer process again until they are fully healed.

Since Jonathan eventually plans to be a doctor anyway, I taught him this algorithm to him since it’s largely based on how I problem-solve as a nurse anyway, and figured it would be a good fit for him.  Then, as we prayed for people, I coached him through the process, asking him what he saw, what he thought we should do next, etc.  Finally, in keeping with the prayer of power and authority, I continued to remind him that he is a son of the Most High God and that Sons of the Kingdom don’t ask for creation to obey us—we command it to.

We practiced this healing prayer process both during the clinics infrequently with patients and also at a few healing prayer services we did while in Iquitos.  While praying together, Jonathan and I saw God heal blindness, deafness, and a number of other less-problematic conditions, but the last patient we saw on the last clinic day was a pretty special circumstance that beat out all of those.

On the final day of the clinic, we spoke to a young woman who’s main complaint was knee pain.  Seeing that she was the last patient, I had Jonathan pray for her, and the pain left instantly.  After praying for her knee and giving her antiparasitics for her family, vitamins, and some other medications, I observed that her ankle looked really strange, something she hadn’t mentioned anything about.  It looked at first glance like she had broken it sometime in the past and it had healed very poorly, as it was swollen and misshapen.  Upon asking her, it turned out that she had an ankle tumor.  I mean, I would have led with that, but people can be funny.

Now, while I inspected her ankle I noticed something that was impossible to miss because of how glaringly obvious it was.  This young woman’s ankle and the tumor on it were absolutely covered in gold dust!  We had seen other patients in the clinics and everyone whose skin we inspected for a skin problem had supernatural gold dust on their skin problem, but on this woman’s ankle it was thicker and just more somehow.  I showed Jonathan and then showed the woman—and explained it was a miracle from heaven (milagro de cielo) and a sign that God wanted to heal her body.  With that, we began to pray.

As you can probably guess, I had Jonathan pray for her.  I began by having her rate her pain and move her ankle so we could observe how much range of motion she had (another way to evaluate change when healing the sick).  Jonathan liked to pray long, flowery prayers with a bunch of “Father Gods” thrown in there so I told him to pray a super short prayer this time.  I had him say “Pain, leave in the name of Jesus.” He prayed, and some of the pain left.  After praying she said it felt like something was “grabbing her ankle,” so I had him command “Demon get out and all swelling go in the name of Jesus.”  He did, the demon left, the rest of the pain went, and as we continued to take turns praying over the next few minutes, the swelling visibly reduced to about half the size!  Her pain was gone, and her range of motion in the ankle had improved significantly.

We had to close up right after this as it was getting dark, or I would have continued to pray more because God was actively healing this woman’s body and removing the tumor and its effects!  And while I preferred to continue praying, I could also trust that God would continue the work that He had started to begin with.  After all, covering her tumor in gold dust wasn’t my idea—it was His.  This precious woman was crying by the time we were done because she could tell that God was touching her body.  It was so beautiful to see her moved by God’s gift to her, and I simply extended my faith in trust that God would finish the work over the next few days.

That miracle was pretty awesome, but almost as awesome to me was helping train up another Son of our Father to heal the sick and destroy works of darkness.  After all, if in a week’s time Jonathan saw the sick healed, blindness and deafness healed, and he even saw a tumor shrink at his prayer of command, what else is possible when partnering as a Son with our Heavenly Father?  Nothing is impossible with God!

Restoring Communion with the Animal Kingdom Part 2: Mindsets and Personhood

In Part 1 of this subject we discussed the responsibility that we carry toward the Animal Kingdom and how walking in a greater measure of communion with that Kingdom will cause us to need to bear more responsibility for them than we do currently. If you haven’t read it, you can catch up here: Restoring Communion with the Animal Kingdom Part 1: Responsibility and Cost. Today we are going to talk a bit about the personhood of animals and how we need to shift our mindsets to match with what is actually true, not what we have tended to believe previously. We will also be looking a bit more into what this will cost us to properly steward in the Kingdom of God.

I was giving our dog Seraphina a shower recently with flea shampoo and Sunshine was mentioning how she thinks I’m better with the dog (as far as how I treat her) than Sunshine is. Not that Sunshine is bad or abusive in any way—just that she thinks I tolerate and manage the dog’s behavior better. I replied that I think it’s probably because I recognize the dog has her own thoughts, will, personality, and emotions, and I don’t think we always take that into account enough as people. Sunshine said, “Well yeah, but she’s still just a dog.”

I replied, “Yeah, she’s a dog, but that’s exactly my point. What if part of our problem is that we relegate her to ‘just a dog’ status and ignore her will, emotions, and intellect?” It took a bit of convincing to get her to believe that dogs have a mind, will, and emotions (and I’m still not sure she’s entirely convinced), but it got me thinking.  Before going further, I’ll explain to you what I pointed out to my wife about animals having a mind, will, and emotions. Regarding Seraphina’s mind, we have the ability to train her to do things. She knows how to recognize certain commands and words, such as “outside”, “go home”, “crate”, “potty”, “Seraphina”, “puppy”, “food”, “hungry”, “no”, and more. Not only can she recognize these words, but she knows what they mean and in some cases what behavior is expected of her when we say those words to her. This requires intellect, or said another way, a mind.

As for Seraphina’s will, that is clearly evident in her behaviors, especially when we take into account the fact that she does have a mind and can understand some of what we tell her. When she is playing outside on our property and we tell her to “go home,” she knows she is supposed to, well, go home. The thing is, when she hears us tell her that, stops, looks at us, and then runs in the opposite direction she is enacting her will. A rebellious will mind you, but a will nonetheless.
Now for the emotions. When we first got Seraphina as a puppy, she had clearly been mistreated. It took a week before she started playing like a normal puppy would do and it wasn’t because she had some kind of developmental delay—it was because she was too afraid. I had to reach into her crate and pull her out of it and we would take turns holding her on our laps while she laid there shaking until she realized we weren’t going to hurt her. She wouldn’t take food from our hands for a while and we had to stop touching the food and move away before she would eat it. This animal was experiencing high levels of fear. Now, this is only possible if animals can experience emotions because fear is an emotion. Seraphina likewise experiences happiness, sadness, hope, disappointment, and other emotions as well, and if one observes her long enough, these various emotions become visibly evident. This is what I explained to my wife about our dog, but the same matters apply to all other animals.

In reality, the main difference we see between a dog and another animal, such as a beetle, is the level of intellect available. Theoretically all animals possess a mind, will, and emotions, but what allows them to display and/or experience a greater range of those things has everything to do with intellect or brainpower, or said another way, the size and complexity of their brain. Now, here’s where things get trippy. The human soul consists of a mind, will, and emotions, and as I have already proven, animals have the same. The level of intelligence they have, the intellect of their mind, will vary, but they still have one. The thing that’s fascinating is that when we realize that the human mind is not stored in the brain but the brain is the physical interface for the mind and the body, then it means that animals also have a soul that exists in a soul dimension similar to how we do (While some might like to use Greek and Hebrew to argue with me about this, I’m not talking about the spirit of the animal, I’m talking about their soul, and they aren’t the same thing. Argument over.).

Now, what would happen if we shifted our mindset and actually believe that animals have a mind, will, and emotions, have intellect, personality, and desires, and then treated them accordingly? I’m not even talking about if we could talk to each other, like I suggested in the prior installment, but what would it look like? How would we shift how we treat animals when we understand more about how they are made and what they experience? I believe if we truly understood this and changed our interactions with animals, we might see a difference in how they interact with us.

Now, I want us to come back around and take another look at this subject of cost. What price will we have to pay to communicate with animals and restore our relationship with the Animal Kingdom? Keep in mind as I discuss this that I’m not saying we should shy away from wanting things due to the price that may come as a result, but I do think it is important to think things through before we dive headlong forward without preparation. Luke 14:28-30 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’” If we want to steward the gift, we need to consider the price.

When we understand that animals have intellect and personality and have their own feelings and desires and then we are able to talk to them, what will that change for us? Let me throw out some ideas to consider—things that might ‘cost’ if we really could understand and communicate with animals like we are talking about. Going to the Veterinarian’s office might prove traumatic, as you will be exposed to the fear and pain of the animals present. An animal shelter would be even harder to go to, much less work at. Depending on how the animals are treated, the Pet Store, Zoo, and Circus might also become off-limits as well. If you’re a hunter, you might give up hunting simply because when you hear the dying cries of the animal you just shot, it will mean a lot more than it did before. Animals won’t just be ‘dumb beasts’ anymore to you – they will be your friends. If you’re a meat-cattle farmer, you’re probably going to need to find a new profession. Try telling all your animal- friends that you’re going to have to kill them once they get big enough. I mean, I’m sure they’ll understand, right?
This may sound entirely overboard to some and it may seem these things won’t matter much, but think again. Animals don’t just communicate using words like we do, and they certainly don’t use human-language when speaking to us. The communication is at its root soul-to-soul or spirit-to-spirit, whether it sounds like we hear them with our physical ears or not. If we shoot an animal with earplugs in, we may still hear their dying cries because it isn’t limited to the audible range, and as such simply going out of physical earshot is no guarantee either.

How do I know any of this? Have I had animals speak to me directly? Not that I recall. But I know others who have, and I have had enough experiences talking with plants, stars, angels and other non-physical beings that I have a few clues that indicate this is how it works. I have also experienced animals responding to my thoughts or words even if I didn’t hear theirs.

For one example of this, my wife and I were sitting in our car which we had parked on the side of a street. We were sitting in the car talking to each other with the sunroof closed but with the divider open so that we could see the glass above us. A black cat walked toward us, hopped up on the hood of the car, slowly walked up the front pane, over the top, and down the back, then hopped off and walked away a short distance. My wife and I both enjoyed this very much, as we got to observe the cat walk on the roof as well as the rest of the car. I even recall saying to her “I wish the cat would do that again – that was cool.” Within about 15 seconds the cat trotted over, hopped back up on the car hood, went quickly over the top and back down, and left. He/she looked back at us at one point and we both had the distinct feeling the cat was asking “There. Did that make you happy?” The cat was nice enough to humor our request, but it seemed like it found the request somewhat annoying. Clearly though, the cat heard our thought-request and complied when it was physically incapable of hearing us due to the windows being shut—and even if the windows had been open, the cat likely wouldn’t have understood my English. And yet, the cat did exactly what I wanted, meaning it understood what I wanted through nonverbal communication, proving my point.

I once had a dream that suggested there are many people out there who have had similar experiences communicating with animals, and that some do it regularly but have simply been unwilling to talk about it, especially in the Church, for fear of negative labels and derision from others. I firmly believe that people often don’t want to take risks and share things because they feel unsafe—and often times other people make it unsafe to share. My hope is that by opening this subject up we can help empower people to start conversations about this topic and walk forward into greater communion with the Animal Kingdoms together. Let’s get started!

Restoring Communion with the Animal Kingdom Part 1: Responsibility and Cost

There are many people out there who would like talk to animals. Or rather, I should say that want to hold conversations with animals (talking to them isn’t hard, but understanding when they talk back is another matter entirely). In addition to just talking to animals, there is a desire for the separation between Man and the Animal Kingdoms to be removed, that the veil between the two would be torn once and for all.

The Bible says that there will be a day when the lion will lie down with the lamb, and a little child will lead them. This is typically relegated to a far-off future post-return of Jesus in the Second Coming. But the veil was torn over 2000 years ago and there is no longer a separation, so we can have connectedness and peace now. And while one could say that the temple veil represented separation between God and man only, I suggest that is not so. Jesus died to set us free from every curse and bondage and place that was less-than God’s intent, so it would stand that all separation of every kind brought in through the Fall of Man was dealt with, not just that of God and man.

The fear of Man was placed upon animals at a time when (I theorize) that there was a dietary deficiency as a result of the flood. It is possible that it was the atmospheric change that scientists have theorized that caused this change, or it may simply have been that so much of the earth was covered with water that many plants simply died after that length of time and some of those plants became extinct. It is possible that any number of other things transpired to cause this change—we will never know outside of divine revelation.

What we do know is that as is recorded in Genesis, after the Flood the rules changed. Animal began to eat animal (suggesting that all animals had been herbivores prior), and Man started to eat animals as well. I imagine it was due to survival needs and in order to protect creation that God placed fear of Man into animals. And why not? After all, He loves animals too. It would be uncharacteristic of God to tell mankind to make animals a target and then in turn give animals no internal warning system whatsoever to let them know Man is now a dangerous species. Due to this warning system, however, animals run away from people unless they as a species have been tamed over a long period of time.

If walking in a forest, deer usually run away when they see a person. If a squirrel or bird is hanging out at a bird-feeder, they will typically run or fly away when a human approaches, even if the person approaches slowly and with no negative feelings directed toward that animal. It’s almost as if something about our very presence tells the animals to “get away.” I believe it is time for this fear to be removed not just conceptually, but in practice.

Before we take another step to start asking God to remove that fear, I think we need to look at some things honestly. For starters, why do we want this ability with animals? If it’s because we “want to,” because we love animals, or because we have some other positive, non-threatening reason, then it stands to reason that pursuing this ability is worthwhile. After all, Jesus purchased it at a very high price, so why should we not live in it? However, this ability doesn’t come free of charge–anything that God gives us comes with a measure of responsibility. An example of this is our diet—do we eat meat? And are there hunters among us?

If the second of the above answers was “yes,” we are at the greatest risk for misusing and abusing this capacity. If you think about it, are we really going to lure animals into a sense of false security only to then trap or kill them and eat them? This is probably the very reason why God put fear there in the first place. If we decide we want to live at peace with the Animal Kingdom then we actually have to live at peace with them. I’m not saying one has to become a 100% raw-food vegan, but in reality if we want to live in a manner that respects the lives of animals then we must treat them differently than we have collectively in the past.

Animals are a large part of our economy, not just the food chain. Almost every restaurant in the U.S. alone serves meat in 80% or more of its food dishes, and often the percentage is much higher than that. There are some farmers who raise nothing but meat-animals, and there are many jobs that do nothing but handle dead animal-flesh. Some examples: taxidermist, butcher, meat-attendant-at-grocery-store, meat packing company employee, food-processor-of-dried-meat-products-employee, professional game hunter, restaurant cook/chef, rancher/ranch hand, trucker-who-ships-meat-and-livestock. If we stopped eating meat, we would actually remove thousands and thousands of jobs from the economy. While those people would eventually find other jobs or work in other similar job-areas that don’t involve meat, the point is that carnivorous behavior is actually quite ingrained into our culture. To take a step away from that and choose to be vegetarian actually limits food choices greatly, which is a consideration we have to look at. Even if we all decided to go vegetarian (which isn’t likely), there would have to be some kind of scalability to the process to phase out of old ways and into new ones. In reality, if we start collectively changing our habits now, it will likely take a generation (about 20+ years) before we see a significant difference.

A few years ago I was preaching at a gathering in Washington State and as per the custom of that group, they gathered together prior to the meeting for food and fellowship potluck-style. I didn’t tell anyone at the time that I was vegetarian (I’m not currently but was then), and I didn’t believe in imposing my dietary choices on other people for a single evening. But as a result there was actually only one food item there that I could eat—macaroni and cheese. And don’t get me wrong—I like mac and cheese. But with a large gathering and literally only one food item that wasn’t meat, it kind of makes the point I’m getting at. And I’m not just talking about foods that have touched meat or have pieces of meat in them. I mean that every one of the non-mac-and-cheese items offered were all different forms of cooked meat—thus there was no “eating around it.” And please don’t hear this as a complaint—I chose not to make my food preferences known, and I enjoyed both my meal and the company I kept while eating it. I am using this example to point out that if we want to live at peace with the Animal Kingdom, we will need to make some mental shifts in our lives, resulting in some physical shifts and possibly dietary changes as well.

Let’s revisit the responsibility issue of a greater dominion over the Animal Kingdom and ability to communicate with them better. Let me explain what I mean—for every area of supernatural connection that we gain, whether it be with Animals, the Nature Kingdom, Stellar Spirits, or some other group, we open ourselves up to a greater measure of responsibility. For example, if I can talk to animals then when they approach me with problems, it stands to reason that I will need to at least attempt to do something about it. Additionally, many animals habitats worldwide have been drastically altered and managed by humans, and as such they are going to need our assistance for a number of the problems they run into because we’re often the ones that caused them to begin with.

Being Dr. Dolittle could have its high points, and I’m sure it does, but it also comes with its own price. What if we were busy trying to order our pets around and it told us it didn’t like it when we talked to it like that? How would we handle a rebuke from an animal? I’d be shocked if Balaam was expecting the response he got from his donkey when he was busy beating it. And to be honest, Balaam was pretty blessed that he got a donkey who wasn’t inclined to fits of rage, as kicks from donkey hindquarters can be deadly when aimed properly. And what are we going to do when the deer take over our yard and eat our garden to shreds during hunting season because they’re running from the hunters and know they’re safe at our place?
Or what if our neighbor’s cat comes for a visit and tells us what he sees the father doing to the child late at night when mother is sleeping and he thinks no one is watching? How do we handle that? Precious few authorities on the planet would believe us if we said “the cat told me the father is molesting his child”, and it certainly won’t stand up in court of law. I get that got real dark real fast, but these are the kinds of problems we will actually run into. Are we prepared for them?

I’m not saying we should shy away from wanting things due to the price that may come as a result, but I do think it is important to think things through before we dive headlong forward without preparation. Luke 14:28-30 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’” If we want to discover how to restore communion with the Animal Kingdom, I believe it is good to do so, as it is part of what Jesus purchased for us. I believe that in the same way God is restoring the revelation of life and immortality to us, God is also restoring our ability to communicate with the Animal Kingdom—but I think we need to also consider what it will cost us. It is my hope that by discussing this, we will be able to reason through some of the things we need to learn and understand as God releases this to us so that we can properly apprehend, live in, and steward the gift.
We will be covering more about this subject in Part 2, dealing with Mindsets and Personhood. Come join us next week!

Gemstones in the Land: Unlocking Spiritual Inheritance

One of the things about seeing in the spirit is that you sometimes see strange stuff.  And when you start to see that strange stuff consistently over time in different situations and locations, it makes you start to wonder why you are seeing what you see, and what it means.  This last week someone posted something on social media, asking a question pertaining to spiritual things, “Has anyone ever seen gems in land?”  Well, I’ve been seeing them for years, so while I answered on the thread it also made me think “How many other people see this kind of stuff and just have never heard anyone else talk about it?”  So, in keeping with what I often do, I figured I’d share the strangeness here for all of you to read, ponder, pray about, and maybe even begin to encounter.

Gems in the land.  Coming from a guy who wrote the book “Gemstones From Heaven,” you’d think I would already have some idea about what spiritual precious stones found beneath different properties would mean.  At the very least you might consider that in all of my bible-studying that I’d have come across an answer already.  Well, I haven’t.  What I have discovered, however, are a few characteristics about these stones that are suggestive, at least to me, of what I am seeing, and they have implications for what we as believers can do with them.

First, spiritual gemstones in the land have always, that I have ever seen been far larger than any actual earthly precious stone could be.  Normally they are the size somewhere in-between a 5-gallon bucket and a loveseat, but it often seems that the larger the property, the larger the stone.  This isn’t an exact science, and the size of the stones don’t seem to scale to the size of the property, and sometimes a place has more than one, but normally I only see one per tract of land.

Second is the color.  The actual hue can vary from place to place, but normally they are vibrant colors.  When they aren’t, and look black or dark-colored, that is typically an indication of something bad happening—either active demonic activity, the land that has been hijacked by the enemy at some point and is still tied to it, or something else.  At any rate, dark colors have never, in my experience, been an indicator of good things.  On the other hand, colors that are vibrant suggest that spiritually that property is faring well.  If the colors are light but lack vibrancy, then we can bless the land and watch the vitality return to the stone.

What should we do with this information?  I guess that depends.  I am of the opinion that each nation, landmass, and even property have their own divine inheritance—a blueprint of sorts from Heaven as to what they are best-designed to do and how those who live on and use the land are best able to partner with Heaven to match with that blueprint.  I think of it as a spiritual inheritance that God put in creation that has, in many ways, been co-opted by the enemy and which we, as the sons and daughters of God, have been given authority in Jesus to restore to its rightful place.  Romans 8:22-23 tells us that all of creation is groaning and waiting for us, the sons and daughters of God, to release it from its bondage to decay.  While I don’t pretend to have the whole picture, maybe what I am seeing, these precious stones hidden inside the land, are a means by which we can bless what has been cursed, to take dominion over the earth, and release the realm of the Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven!

The Power of Impartation—Now In Print and Ebook!

Hey there Friends of Eden!

I am excited to announce that my new book “The Power of Impartation” is available for purchase on Amazon in both print and Kindle, and for you book-listeners, the audiobook will be ready soon! Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the audiobook launch.  I have been working with Steve Bremner, a fellow author, writing coach, and who also does podcasting and audibooks and I’m looking forward to the audio version we are putting together.

This book started out as a two-part blog post here on the website (part 1 is here), which turned into a four-part blog post, and the revelation just kept coming, so a book seemed like the best way to communicate the information. While the subject itself isn’t necessarily new (there are a few other books with the same title), the information within definitely is! Most of the chapter on Mantles is information I have never heard anyone else teach before, and much of the rest of the book is the same—new revelation for a new season.

Impartation in this context is the transferring of spiritual substance from one person to another, and we see it throughout the Bible—Moses, Elijah, Jesus, and Paul all have done this for those around them, and Paul even wrote in a letter to Timothy about when this happened to Timothy. Impartation is a method by which we can share the grace of the Holy Spirit that is on our lives with friends and family and help them to walk in a greater level of supernatural power, releasing the signs, wonders, miracles, healing, and deliverance that Jesus demonstrated and commanded all future disciples to do—and that includes you and me! By understanding what impartation is and what it can do both for and through us, together we can help change the world around us for Jesus.

My website’s tag-line is “an out of the box take on health and spiritual life” because that’s the perspective I tend to write from. I find new ways of looking at and understanding the same scriptures and ideas, and not just “different” for the sake of being different. My goal is always to help people access the promises of God in a greater manner than before through effective teaching that works! This is why I wrote this book, and I am confident that by putting the principles within into action, you will notice the results.

In the book I cover:

  • What impartation is and how it works
  • How to accelerate the growth process
  • The power of revelation knowledge
  • How mantles and lampstands operate and how to use them
  • How to steward the gifts of the Spirit
  • And much more!

Whether you are a new believer wanting to learn and grow or a mature believer who wants to take your spiritual growth to the next level, this book will help supercharge your journey. I am excited about this book, and I hope you are too. You can follow the link below to get a copy today!

Ignorant No More: A Realistic View of Spiritual War

There is little I find more disheartening than when talking to people who should be mature believers but who are somehow still very much asleep to the spiritual realities around us. A recent conversation with a friend highlighted this to me. We were talking about some of the issues in the USA right now—the riots, media manipulation, child trafficking, rampant political corruption, and more. I mentioned that I expected some of these issues to worsen through and after the 2020 Presidential election due to many individuals who are pulling out all the stops to keep from being arrested and tried for treason, sedition, and other high crimes. My friend, who doesn’t like to deal with anything negative, said something like “Michael, can’t we pray and fix all of that? That’s such a hopeless view of things.” No, it’s a realistic view of things because, like it or not, we are in a spiritual war.

Anyone who has followed my blog for some time knows that I have pretty high expectations as far as the workings of God in our lives. Whether inner healing and deliverance, raising the dead, immortality, or spectacular miracles such as gemstones and feathers from heaven, oil, manna, and much more, I am constantly pushing forward to access all that God has prepared for us in Christ Jesus. And yet, it would be the height of foolishness and immaturity for me to ignore the spiritual war we are in, all in favor of focusing only on the positives. In fact, while I value Bethel for many of the good things they bring to the Body of Christ, that is one of their major weaknesses. They don’t like to deal with the demonic (nor teach people how to) because they, of their own admission, don’t want to “give glory” to demons by acknowledging their existence. Well, demons would like nothing more than for us to ignore them because they try pretty hard to remain hidden. Failing to train believers to cast out demons isn’t maturity. Ignoring negative-sounding things in favor of positive-sounding ones only goes so far before it causes problematic imbalances.

Let’s be honest. Do I enjoy knowing that human trafficking exists in this nation in part to provide human sacrifices for people who willingly serve Lucifer so that they and demons both can gain power in the earth? No—nothing about that is enjoyable, and it can be disheartening to know that most of the time there is little more I can do about it than pray. Yet, remaining ignorant doesn’t help those people, and it won’t save the next victim either. Ignoring the undeniable fact that we are in a spiritual battle only serves to tie my own hands and reduce my effectiveness in dealing with the enemy.

My buddy Steve reminded me once that in every interaction he has had with angels during any kind of demon encounter that they were always armed with swords. And the reason that angels carry swords is because they know they are in a war and are fighting an enemy. We have been given spiritual weapons to fight this same spiritual war, and yet sometimes we teach and/or are taught to lay those weapons down because we are too negative or focusing on things that aren’t nice to think about. We need to learn how to be awake to the designs of the enemy, fight the battles in front of us, and yet also fix our eyes on the prize. There is a reason that Jesus is the desire of the nations, but even as we pursue Him we need to remember that as Revelation 1:16 shows us, even Jesus has a sword.

This past December 10th I had to put my dog Rowan down. She was the first dog I had ever had as an adult, and while she was a bit anxious at times, she was a sweetheart. Any time I was doing inner healing and deliverance with someone she wanted to be in the room. And the reason we had to put her down? 100% due to witchcraft attacks on our family. In fact, a few weeks prior to that a witch spoke to me and told me they were going after her because they wanted me to suffer. Super thoughtful, right? Ultimately, Rowan started having tonic-clonic seizures that we couldn’t get under control, then post-ictal she started trying to attack us, and since we couldn’t predict when she would have them it became unsafe for her to be around the kids, so we put her down. It absolutely broke my heart, and the rest of the family was just as devastated. And all because we are in a spiritual war that has real enemies and real consequences.

Sure, we can pray for God to fix things, and believe me, from the time the witch threatened me I was praying over my dog and my family—and yet we still lost the battle. It must be nice to be one of those people who can delude themselves into believing that life with Jesus is all roses and bliss, but that’s not reality. The reality is that while in His presence there truly is fullness of joy, we are still in a spiritual war and we don’t win every battle.

For me, that fact simply spurs me on harder to mature and become all that I must become in Christ to be both a sword against our spiritual enemies and a shield in front of my family and friends, but not everyone responds to problems the same way. What would have happened if the prophet Daniel had decided that fasting until an answer came wasn’t worth it, or wasn’t needed because “finished works” theology told him that fasting isn’t needed any more? I rather doubt that Michael the Chief Prince and the angelic messenger in Daniel 10 would have been able to win against the Prince of Persia if Daniel had not dedicated himself to fasting and prayer during that time.

If we choose to remain asleep to the war then we are relegating ourselves to the sidelines and making ourselves of little effect, and more often than not when sidelined we will either be ignored by the enemy because we are so harmless or we will be attacked relentlessly and destroyed. And neither outcome is acceptable.

I’m not saying we need to become hyper-suspicious of everything around us, nor am I saying that we can never have fun. No, it is important that we learn to live from a place of inner rest, enjoying the goodness, love, joy, and peace of God, and yet from that internal position rise up to put a stop to the darkness that encroaches upon this world God has given us responsibility over. Yes, the elections are important. And yes, the corruption in our political sphere, the Covid-lockdowns, the riots, and much more all need to end. But all of those things need to be put in context of a spiritual war that has been waged for thousands of years (and possibly even for millennia).

Earth isn’t the only battlefield. There are spiritual battles that occur all the time in star systems in far off galaxies and in other dimensions. Our prayers actually have ripple effects through the multiverse and across dimensions into other realms and realities that shift the tide in favor of God’s people throughout all of time and eternity. Our prayers are powerful and accomplish far more than we realize, but it is time that we realign our perspective on reality. It is time that we mature enough that we can both remain idealistic about the plans that God has for us to bring us prosperity and goodness and yet also effectively fight and win against the powers of darkness that seek to stop the promises of God from ever coming to pass. I can’t pretend to know what that will look like for each individual, but we need to examine our hearts, be open to the Holy Spirit dealing with our immaturities, intentional ignorance, and our fears, and learn to stand strong against the evil one. For, as Ephesians 6:12-13 reminds us, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.”

Impartation and the Human Spirit – The Power of Impartation Part 4

In Part 1 we discussed the mechanism of impartation and how we can influence its effectiveness in our lives. In Part 2 we discussed what I call Impartation Math—understanding both how we can give to others without loss on our end, as well as how the seed of impartation can help us grow in spiritual power. In Part 3 we saw how the power of impartation can be used to pursue exponential growth in spiritual power. In this fourth and final installment of The Power of Impartation series we are going to look at the influence and interaction between the human spirit, the holy spirit, and how they are related to impartation—as well as how we can benefit from that understanding.

In Numbers 11 we see an interesting interaction between Moses and God. Moses is complaining that running the nation is too much work, so God gives him a very intriguing instruction. The passage says:

“The Lord said to Moses: ‘Bring me seventy of Israel’s elders who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people. Have them come to the tent of meeting, that they may stand there with you. I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take some of the power of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them. They will share the burden of the people with you so that you will not have to carry it alone” . . . . So Moses went out and told the people what the Lord had said. He brought together seventy of their elders and had them stand around the tent. Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke with him, and he took some of the power of the Spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied—but did not do so again. However, two men, whose names were Eldad and Medad, had remained in the camp. They were listed among the elders, but did not go out to the tent. Yet the Spirit also rested on them, and they prophesied in the camp.” (Numbers 11:16-17, 24-26)

The fascinating thing about this scripture, to me, is that God recognized that something He had placed upon Moses had a few different qualities.
1) It helped Moses accomplish something (which in this instance was governing)
2) It could be shared and/or given to others
3) It is possible to share it with someone who isn’t physically present
4) The “it” being shared is actually part of the nature of God, not just an object

It is also of note that because the process of impartation is sharing an aspect or quality of the Holy Spirit, it means that the qualities of God can be split up. What I mean by that is that having the Holy Spirit means we have access to all aspects of His being, but it doesn’t mean that all aspects of His being are actively resident or at work within us. Furthermore, something about impartation causes those qualities to be shared, revealed, or otherwise manifested when they previously were not. The main difference between the Old and New Testament regarding this is that the Holy Spirit is now resident in all believers, but all of His qualities are still not made manifest, hence the value and benefit of impartation from one to another.

We see this again in another Old Testament passage, between Elijah and Elisha, except there is something unique about what that passage shows us that is relevant to understanding how impartation functions and how our human spirit is involved in the process. 2 Kings 2:9-10 says:

“When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, ‘Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?’
‘Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,’ Elisha replied.
‘You have asked a difficult thing,’ Elijah said, ‘yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not.’”

Note here that Elisha didn’t ask for a double portion of the Holy Spirit that was upon Elijah, but a double portion of his spirit. Furthermore, Elijah didn’t tell him that was impossible, but outlined conditions under which Elisha’s request would be granted. Elisha seemed aware that what he was going to receive had a connection not just to the Spirit of God, but to Elijah’s spirit. In fact, we see Jesus reference this as well in Luke 1:17a, saying “he will go on before the LORD, in the spirit and power of Elijah . . .” Even Jesus recognized that it is possible to inherit something from another *person’s* spirit and not just from the Holy Spirit.

While I get that concept opens up a large can of worms (too large to cover here, and which I will be covering in the book I am now working on that will share the same title as this series—The Power of Impartation), it is important to understand there is a significant interchange between our human spirits and the Holy Spirit in impartation. There is an important principle that I see displayed in 1 Corinthians 14 that I think reveals the connection between the Holy Spirit and our human spirit. The passage is talking about tongues and prophecy, but pay attention to what it says about the human spirit:

For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding. Otherwise when you are praising God in the Spirit, how can someone else, who is now put in the position of an inquirer, say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since they do not know what you are saying? You are giving thanks well enough, but no one else is edified. . . . Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. (2 Corinthians 14:14-17, 29-32)

In this passage speaks about gifts of the Holy Spirit, but he keeps referring to people praying with their own spirits. How does that work? He explains in 1 Corinthians 14, “For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit.” In other words, the Holy Spirit and the human spirit work together when one is praying in tongues. This is a perfect example of a situation where the Spirit of God comes upon our spirits and the connection of the two influences what happens next. We also see that Paul tells us the spirits of the prophets are subject to their own control, which means that our human spirits are not simply passively receiving whatever God is doing, but that we have the ability to control what our spirits are doing. Why is this important?

If we want to understand how impartation works, we have to grasp the concept that our human spirit is involved in a partnership with the Holy Spirit, but also that some aspects of the flavor of our own spirit get passed on when we impart to others—largely because our spirit is the vessel. If you will recall in Part 1 (https://www.thekingsofeden.com/2020/05/growing-in-spiritual-power-the-power-of-impartation-part-1/) I shared a story about a time I received prayer from Prophet Larry Randolph, and I could actually observe the “flavor” of the impartation in how I was prophesying over others shortly afterwards. In some way, impartation is not just a gift where we are giving an aspect of the Holy Spirit as a gift, but we are giving the gift of ourselves as well—and yet, because the Holy Spirit flows like a river through us, we don’t experience loss even as we give freely of Him and of ourselves to others. And isn’t pouring out our lives for others part of the example Jesus gave us? With impartation, we just give of ourselves in a different sort of way.

I am excited about the gift that impartation is to the Church, and while I understand I have shared just a few aspects of a larger subject, my hope is that it has given you, the reader, a greater understanding of the impact it can have in your own life, how it functions, why it even matters, and the connection both our spirits and the Holy Spirit have in this process. If you are interested in more on this subject, as I mentioned earlier I am now working on a more comprehensive book on the subject which will also share the name The Power of Impartation (the book is now finished–get it here!). Pursuing Exponential Growth – The Power of Impartation Part 3

In Part 1 we discussed the mechanism of impartation and how we can influence its effectiveness in our lives. In Part 2 we discussed what I call Impartation Math—understanding both how we can give to others without loss on our end, as well as how the seed of impartation can help us grow in spiritual power. Now we are going to look at how the power of impartation can be used to pursue exponential growth in spiritual power, which ultimately looks like more effective prayers and better results. While intentional impartation may not exactly mirror exponential growth, it can help us to move in that direction at growing rate.

Exponential growth is growth that increases in the growth speed over time, essentially gaining speed as time passes. A good example is that of a farmer and his crops. When a farmer plants a single plant, it produces seeds—not one, but many seeds per plant. For simplicity let us say one plant produces 20 seeds. If a farmer plants those seeds and they all bear fruit, he will harvest 400 seeds. If he plants those seeds and they all bear fruit at the next harvest, he will harvest 8,000 seeds. Repeated continuously it will then be 160,000 seeds, then 3.2 million, then 64 million, and so on. At some point he will be unable to plant all of the seeds he would theoretically obtain, all due to exponential growth over time. What we are going to do is apply the concept of exponential growth and look at what could happen if we turned it toward intentional use of the principles behind impartation.

Before going further, I just want to point out that growing in spiritual power has to do with our own effectiveness in manifesting and releasing the Kingdom in the earth. It is not the same as having an actual relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, nor is it a substitute for developing a lifestyle of intimacy with the Godhead. Nothing in this series should be understood to be or taken as a substitute for a relationship with God, but instead is meant to show some ways we can shortcut the process of growing in spiritual power to influence our world.

As we discussed in Part 2, Impartation Math shows us how we can impart a small portion of our spiritual ability to others as a seed that can be cultivated and grown. But what if we didn’t just do this at random, or only do it occasionally? What if instead, a group of people caught the vision for how to grow intentionally and put these principles into practice? Let’s look at that now.

Imagine that a group of five people all met together weekly for prayer and/or ministry of some kind. Then imagine that each time they met, they prayed for one another to receive impartation from the measure of the Holy Spirit on their lives. To explain this, I am going with the following rules, which, while the numbers are a little arbitrary, the numbers are chosen to represent a concept:

1) Something imparted is in seed form

2) When one prays for another, roughly 1% of their total spiritual force is given away (with 1% representing a small amount, in seed form)

3) When that impartation is assimilated, the total spiritual power increases to make a new total.

4) Everyone in the group starts at 100 sp (SP = spiritual power, representing the power, force, God-points, or whatever one wants to title this)

If on meeting 1 everyone gives 1% to everyone else (1 sp), at the end of the meeting everyone is now at 104 points. At the next gathering, everyone gives 1.04 sp away so each person goes away with 108.16 sp. If we continue this ten times in total (rounding to 3 decimals or less), then by the end of 10 meetings (chart at the bottom) each person would be at approximately 148 sp, nearly 1.5 times what they began with, and if this continued weekly for six months, he or she would have at least 277 sp, almost 3 times the starting point.  Now, while these numbers are only a rough representation of how this works, there is a sort of spiritual mathematics that occurs when we engage in spiritual transactions of any kind, and if we are aware of this, we can make purposeful use of this in our lives.

Imagine what could happen if this group continued to do their weekly meetings regularly for years, with people coming and going, picking up the benefits of both giving and receiving in impartation culture, carrying it with them to other places, and with the initial group continuing to grow both in in spiritual power over time. Imagine if instead of five people it had ten or fifteen, and that in addition to regular impartation they spent time in corporate worship and intercession for their group, the region, and more. What if this was a God-designed way that we could help one another make leaps and bounds forward in our ability to see our prayers answered, miracles released, our communities transformed, and experience the manifestation of the Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven?

Personally, I have seen the benefits of acceleration in spiritual growth, and this has been in part through intentional focus on my part. I think that sometimes people can confuse the idea that we get everything in the Kingdom as a free inheritance with the idea that we get it for free in seed form. Jesus told a parable about the mustard seed of faith in Mark 4:30-32, saying “Again he said, ‘What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.’” The point of this parable wasn’t about just needing to have a seed—it was that as the seed grew, the increasing benefits would be revealed. I believe that impartation is essentially a means of both planting new seeds and watering those seeds we have already received from Heaven. The more intentional we are about it, the more watering the plants get, and with better nurture comes better and faster growth. Jesus wasn’t teaching his disciples to rest and do nothing. I believe he was trying to explain how growth over time would release increasing benefits, and that as we do, other people will be able to benefit from the power of God working through our lives. Intentional impartation is one way we can help maximize this growth with one another.

In the fourth and final installment of The Power of Impartation series we are going to look at the influence and interaction between the human spirit, the holy spirit, and how they are related to impartation—as well as how we can benefit from that understanding. Stay tuned!

Meeting #: Start + Add = End Total*

1: 100 + 4 = 104
2: 104 + 4.16 = 108.16
3: 108.16 + 4.326 = 112.486
4: 112.486 + 4.5 = 117
5: 117 + 4.68 = 121.68
6: 121.68 + 4.868 = 126.548
7: 126.548 + 5.06 = 131.6
8: 131.6 + 5.264 = 136.864
9: 136.864 + 5.476 = 142.34
10: 142.34 + 5.69 = 148.03

*For everyone checking my math, please note that for simplicity’s sake, I have intentionally rounded to 1 or 2 decimals in certain places when the numbers were extremely close to the next decimal, which since the numbers are all made-up to begin with doesn’t influence the point one way or the other.

Impartation Math – The Power of Impartation Part 2

In Part 1 we discussed the mechanism of impartation and how we can influence its effectiveness in our lives. In this segment we are going to look at what I call “Impartation Math”, or ultimately the rules behind how it functions, so that we can look in a future segment on how to make use of these principles to enhance our own spiritual advancement.  Impartation prayer is a great way to accelerate spiritual growth in the individual, but from what I have observed there is a sort of spiritual mathematics behind how it tends to function. Keep in mind this is how impartation tends to function in most cases, and is not a rule for all circumstances, as there are always outliers. However, I am confident that the concepts we will discuss are fairly reliable. Some of the information below is also discussed in my book The Gamer’s Guide to the Kingdom of God.

Impartation is a useful method to grow in spiritual power, but when receiving it from others, it seems that we typically only receive a small portion of whatever the other person carries. Thus, it often takes a moderate amount of impartation over time before we notice significant changes. Impartation is much like planting a spiritual seed, but it is also a renewable resource. When imparting to others, we don’t lose spiritual virtue, but rather pass on a seed of what we have received to the other person.

To explain the concept, we are going to look at math using arbitrary percentages I have assigned for simplicity’s sake. While the numbers are kept simple for easy math, we have to keep in mind that impartation is typically passing on virtue in seed form, requiring further growth and development to become powerful and effective. Spiritual virtue flows through us much like a river that collects in a reservoir. When we impart to someone else our reservoir level drops slightly, but is entirely temporary as it is soon refilled by the river of God still feeding it—so we are able to give freely without experiencing any personal loss. Practically speaking this means there is a limitless supply of God-energy available to us in any and every situation. Ultimately, it is the speed of the flow of one’s “spiritual river” that influences how quickly this occurs, but when we give to one another we help increase their ability to be a conduit of the Holy Spirit.

Consider that when praying, we give someone 1% of the spiritual power (or a spiritual gift) we possess. If 100 people gave 1% (or fewer people but a total of 100 separate instances), then that individual’s spiritual capacity would essentially double. There is no limit to the amount of virtue we can impart to others, but if we can only give 1% at a time it will take a while to notice the effects. Ultimately, the goal is to enlarge our reservoir so more can flow through us in any moment. This means that the speed at which we see divine healing, deliverance, and much more should see an increase over time, and really the same will occur for answered prayer as a whole. Additionally, as our reservoir enlarges, we are able to impart more virtue to others when we pray as well. For example, even if the percentage we impart remains the same, as we enlarge our reservoir, we become able to release a greater amount to others. In human terms, 1% of 100 gallons is far less than 1% of 100,000 gallons and our spirits work similarly. As we grow in spiritual power, we have more ability to release a greater measure upon those around us.

Now, if we want to see this occur on a wider scale, we would have to become more intentional about it. And as we discussed in the previous article, we have to not just receive impartation, but do something to assimilate it to truly become part of us. Furthermore, hopefully we aren’t solely relying on this to grow, and are also doing things with what we receive to minister to those around us. In Part 3, we are going to look at how we can use these principles to pursue exponential growth in spiritual power.

Back in the fall of 2006 I volunteered at Global Awakening’s yearly Voice of the Apostles conference. After one of the night sessions I was tasked with driving one of the speakers, Larry Randolph, and his wife back to their hotel. We had some brief conversation on the ride there, and during that time I asked him if he would mind praying for me to receive an impartation of the prophetic gifts, unction, or whatever else one might choose to call it. He agreed, but then we got sidetracked with some other things and the prayer didn’t occur that night, which was disappointing but fine. Yet, what happened the next day taught me something interesting about growing in spiritual power and the power of impartation.

Larry was the speaker for the afternoon session, and after calling out words of knowledge and prophecying over the audience members the Holy Spirit highlighted to him, he was about to end, saying “I’ve got time for one more.” He then looked directly at me and called me up to the front to pray an impartation of the prophetic over me. At first he wasn’t sure specifically why he felt led to do this . . . until I reminded him that I had asked the night prior. He chuckled, as he then recalled that we had never gotten to it that night, prayed for me, then closed the session.

It was touching that the Holy Spirit heard and honored my request from the night prior, but what followed was fascinating to me. I had the distinct impression that I needed to take some time in prayer with God after this, but a friend came up immediately and asked me to pray for her as well, which I did. In hindsight, I should have listened to the nudging I felt, but that’s the value of experience, and I was still pretty young in the prophetic at the time.

I have a theory about how impartation works. The Bible likes to refer to spiritual virtue, anointing, gifts, etc. as oil and humans as earthenware jars (2 Cor 4:7), so let’s use the analogy of oil in a jar. If we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we can be likened to a full jar. When someone prays impartation over us, we receive an infilling of more oil, but the jar is already full, so we have to temporarily expand the jar size to fit the extra oil (yes, I know that’s not actually a thing with jars, but just go with the example).

Once the jar-size is expanded, there are two possible options:
1) the oil will get used and the jar shrinks back down to normal size
2) the oil gets assimilated and the jar permanently expands

Some believe that impartation only works if God initiates it. I have not found that to be true. It may be more effective if God initiates it, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work the rest of the time. In Acts 3:6, Peter says to a cripple that “what I have I give you”. Peter recognized that he not only had a substance but that he could give it to other people. In addition to spiritual power, we see multiple times in Acts where the Holy Spirit is given through the laying on of hands, and it references the same occurring with prophetic gifts in 1 Timothy 4:14, saying “Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.”

There are a number of ideas out there about impartation, but my observation has shown me that the two options listed above are really the only two available. Either we receive the gift of impartation and it becomes permanent, or we receive it and it is impermanent. What I have found is that we can influence how permanent it does or does not become. For example, why would I have felt nudged not to pray for someone else after receiving impartation prayer from Larry Randolph? It wouldn’t matter unless my actions were able to influence what happened in some meaningful way.

I am a huge fan of impartation prayer, as I believe it is a method God gives us to accelerate spiritual growth for ourselves and others. However, it works best when we are active participants. In my own life, I have made it a point to intentionally cultivate both my relationship with God and my prayer life, as I have noticed accelerated spiritual growth when I spend long periods of time in prayer. Furthermore, I have found that if I spend time in prayer, worship, soaking, or otherwise engaging with God in the subsequent days after receiving impartation prayer, it seems to have a positive impact on whether I assimilate the impartation or not. Anyone can get prayed for, but those who are intentional to steward the gift are those who will receive the most benefit.

If you want to enhance your own spiritual growth as far as effectiveness in prayer, healing the sick, and more, I encourage you to take advantage of impartation where it is available, but don’t be passive about it. Take it that next step and intentionally assimilate all the Lord has given you so that you can be the most effective you there is. We are going to look a bit more in the next two installments about how we can encourage exponential growth and the connection impartation has with the human spirit.
